Re: Three Kingdoms Discourse: First Episode is up
Would the two of you mind sharing a brief paragraph for introducing your podcast for the KMA links directory? It may incorporate links.
Re: Three Kingdoms Discourse: First Episode is up
Thank you James! We'd love to! We're just working on that now

Have a question about a book or academic article before you buy it? Maybe I have it!
Check out my library here for a list of Chinese history resources I have on hand and my tumblr to see if I have reviewed it!

I also tossed a note up on the haphazard home page. I am not sure how many eyes are actually looking at kongming.net right now, but it will at least extend some love through search engines!

Re: Three Kingdoms Discourse: First Episode is up
Thank you, that does and would help
Poss paragraph:
Long standing members of this community have created a (aiming for) fortnightly podcast, released on Fridays about the three kingdoms. Each main episode explores a chapter of the novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, talking about the themes of that chapter but also exploring the history of the era the novel is based on. They also do deep dives into a theme that is relevant to the chapters they have done or on a character that will have just died, focusing solely on the historical records and the work of historians. A list of platforms can be found here

I've only just twigged that the forum used to have a link to the KMA frontpage on it and currently does not! I suspect that's some way down on your to do list of getting stuff fixed though

Haha, yep! I haven’t even touched the phpBB theme, here. Yet.
I think I’ll start chipping away at bits and pieces of it in a bit, though.

I gave it a listen last night while sitting in a coffee shop, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I got chills hearing those opening lines dramatically read aloud. Really solid work, everyone.

Episode 2: Schemes at Luoyang is up on podcasts and youtube. Sun Fin is joined by Taishi Ci 2.0 and Zhou Dadudu to discuss second episode of the novel. Turban use of magic and their final stand, the arrival of the brave Sun Jian and stories of his merchant family, the violence in the time of peace including the treatment of two of our heroes and chaos at the court are delved into.

Turban Deep Dive
Trying something different that we hope to have in-between novel episodes. The idea with deep dives is to have an episode focused solely on the history of the subject (in this case, the Turbans) rather then a novel chapter and it's themes. When a major character dies or a major appropriate subject comes up, we are hoping to have one of these
I host this one, as Sun Fin and Zhou Dadudu return to discuss the Yellow Turbans in Yellow Dreams Never Die. Topics of conversation are the history of the Turbans, their beliefs, what we know of them, who they were and why things went so badly for them in 184 among other topics via youtube or podcast

Feedback welcome
Also an ant army, also welcome.
