Am a Patron.

As for tiers, unnecessary except maybe for access to music or other heavier files.

I also have the coming back and finding myself not logged in anymore. Did a clean sweep of cookies and jazz too so should be having the fresh stuff. IDK. Not a super big deal tho.

I have Created a Patreon

So if anyone feels inclined, able, and happy to toss some coins toward the maintenance o’ these sites and freeing up time to create new content and features, I’m now onboard with the modern age.

I just stuck with their “Lite” plan. I appreciate how it just lets people decide whatever they’d like to and are comfortable with contributing. And I’m not quite sure how to work with tiers since I prefer to make whatever I can available for free on the website. I’ll be adding the old-school “Odds & Ends” section to Patreon, at least.

Thanks again to those who reached out about it. :)
That's great news, I'll share it on my superpopular webpage (I'll do it, but I'm not popular at all :D ).

Thank you kindly, you wonderful Ranbir. :)

I've been thinking with the tiers... maybe even that doesn't matter for the heavy bandwidth content. Technically there is a scenario where someone could donate and actually cost me money through that section, but it seems nice to keep it simple and thank anyone who contributes anything at all. :)

That, and I noticed Patreon takes 3% more on the cut for unlocking the group of features which includes tiers. And... maybe I'm reading this wrong... potentially removes the ability for people to define what to contribute. Which seems unfortunate.

Thank you! I'm browsing your website, now that I have figured out the connection. You should add it to your signature, here. I don’t have the software setup to add things like nofollow tags to signature links, so it would be a little something to help people connect with your work and redirect some link juice love for search engines. :)

There aren't even any "introduce yourself" threads in subreddits, which is a giant shame

Oh... interesting. For some reason I'm only now noticing that communities don't seem to have "sticky" and ongoing conversations like that. Which may be part of the reason why it feels so transitory and a little less connected to me at first blush. I can see how that might be a very deliberate part of the Reddit design: discussion tied to the hear and now.

It's always good to see KMA and SoSZ are back! I've been somewhat occupied while they were down.

It'll take some time, but I think I've been doing a good job.

For what’s it worth, I haven’t been logged out of the site for 5 days now.

I cleared all cookies/cache and made sure to use the https:// www address. I never got around to adding the URL to my script blocker (because I couldn’t figure out how ) so I don’t think that was the issue after all. Maybe I’m just lucky.

Share more details? I'm curious! Those are some nice portraits, by the way.

I've been knocked a couple times at odd points, now. Rather curious. It occurs to me one possible point of fuss is that, since I am mucking around so much with various links and pages on the internet, I could also be coming in under odd domains. Or following links on this actual website to the wrong version of the URL. But, theoretically, those should all be redirecting. Hmm...

I also have a lot of privacy stuff on my computer.

Theoretically it should be fine to include these sites in any blockers... aside from noscript sorts, blocking first-party cookies, etc...

The RoTK2 mod (Parallel Universes II) is just that -- six fictional scenarios from the three kingdoms period. Technically it's fully playable, but I have some bells and whistles to add before it's ready.
The DoaE mod is still under wraps, although I'm sure some people recognize those portraits and can (sort of) guess what's involved.

There are also some other RoTK2 mods I've been working on that have a ways to go.

The Darro mod: (technically playable, but not complete)
Image

RoTK2-Gemfire: (technically playable, but even less than the Darro mod)

EDIT: I should add that portraits are done for PU II, but the other three have a lot of portraits and maps to finish.

Subreddits can have up to two "sticky" posts each, so if you're seeing none, that's a choice of that subreddit's ownership/moderators.
