Welcome back! I have been checking the forum every year hoping one day it will return. Almost everything in the forum is back intact! (Almost everything by a few external dead links here and there which is a decade ago)

You know I just was randomly searching for the Scholars of Shen Zhou, thinking that once again I wouldn't be able to access the forum.

Hello!

I received the e-mail about the forum going back online and thought I'd stop by. I remember the old threekingdoms.net (I think it was?) forum and the Five Tigers forum that preceded SoSZ and I moderated the RTK game series forum here for awhile when I was active.

I've always retained some interest in the Three Kingdoms period. Now that I'm a grown-up I actually own copies of "To Establish Peace" and "Generals of the South" along with Dr. Rafe's more recent history of the period and his biography of Cao Cao. But because I'm a grown up, I haven't had much time to dig in to them I'm getting my PhD in American History currently so that takes care of most of my reading time. My wife and I watched through the 2010 Three Kingdoms series and enjoyed it. I'm glad to have introduced someone else to this little world of RTK.

I'm still a huge fan of forums (I've been active on an old Heavy Metal forum I used concurrently with SoSZ) and I hope they come back to life!

What a fine turn of events and to see so many people already voicing their thoughts on its return fills me with hope. It's so nice to see so many familiar folk already flittering about. It is difficult to maintain forums these days with the ever expansion of Reddit, but I believe that Scholars of Shen Zhou can buck that trend. It is just a matter of spreading the word.

I've never been able to get into Reddit. I really hope we can make this place active again, nothing else on the internet has come close to a discussion forum like this one.

I really figured this place was dead for good after it went down, briefly came back, and then went down again. I was certainly not a regular visitor anymore at that point - real life has a way of getting in the way of things like obsessve forum participation and none of us are as young as we used to be.

Good to see I was wrong and the site is back. Funny timing, too, as I've been on a pretty significant nostalgia trip lately, so this makes all kinds of sense.
