Chinese Zodiacs of the Three Kingdoms

Unread post by Kongde »

I figured this would be a fun little thing to do just to see where this goes. I will expand this later and add more entries for fun.

For now, I'm going to start with a very famous figure, Cao Cao. Who was born early 155 AD. According to Chinese Zodiac, he would either be a Sheep or a Horse. The sheep's year is 155 AD, however, being that Cao Cao was born early into the year, potentially in January? He could still be a Horse. I personally would stick with the latter, as when one reads about a Horse, it is quite fitting of Cao Cao,
Power, beauty, and freedom symbolize the horse in the Chinese culture. People born in the year of the horse are very high-spirited, active and energetic. Their enthusiasm and cheerful personalities make people like them. That is why people who are born in the year of the horse like to be the center of attention and make everyone around them enjoy their company.

The horse moods can change very quickly because they are quick tempered and Impatient. It is necessary for the horse to have a lot of freedom and independency, so it is hard for them to adjust to a schedule prepared by someone else. They have a sharp and quick mind which makes them good at identifying patterns and sense what you are thinking before you state it.
There is one more layer to Chinese zodiac I plan on doing as well, that is to distinguish the element.

For Cao Cao in particular, his Element would be Wood. Ironically, Wood had the symbol Dragon, and a Wood Horse is said to gather a large following of friends and admirers. They are literate and known for their good sense of humor. The Wood Horse is not afraid to be unusual and open to new ideas. Is this not sounding like a spitting image of Cao Cao?

Next up, Zhuge Liang, who is said to be born in 181.

181 would be the Year of the Rooster. The element would be Metal. He would be a Metal Rooster. I will simply link a description of a metal rooster this time, feel free to check out other links, but this seems to also fit Zhuge Liang somewhat well either, even down to the fact they manage administration fairly well as a strength, are very resourceful and hardworking and talented. They are a great debater and make an exceptionally good economist and administrator.

It is quite odd how the zodiacs line up quite well with their personalities so far.
