Decide on our Sport!

Unread post by James »

There is plenty of disagreement over what type of sports forum we should become. Clearly there's only one way we can resolve this matter: with a community poll!

What sport do you want to see represented in the new Kongming’s Archives?

Can you explain how that sport is Americanish?

What will we call the website? Kongming at Bat is just so catchy.

Who is going to wear the spandex?

Decide here!

1) Soccer
2) it is not American, I think the focus should now be on the UK. I'm bored of the USA and China :P
3) Kongming's Balls
4) All the evil Wei-ists

I think thats everything

I really want a totally dedicated Soccer part of the Forum, so yay for the World's Greatest Game, and screw American sports networks for messing up the way the game is broadcast and analyzed, we don't need Steve McMannaman and Ruud Guilit analyzing anything, watch Sky Sports news if you want something close to that(no better!). Also i think if theres going to be sports board, it should be dedicated to the international community's main interests rather than one American sport that gets boring after a while, at least Soccer(though its not a physical sport) does see its share of brutalness,so does American football,oh, someone fire Johhny Evans of Man U for ruining our American boy Holden's season. yet for all the Americans of the forum, i put a vote for baseball because there'll be nothing better untill September to watch in terms of Sports over here.

Kongming's Playbook! Sort of a double-entente. Or something like that. I'm running on little sleep, lemme alone.

I say curling. Provides a great transition from ancient Chinese politicking since it's such a strategy-involved game, where one person is actively yelling out commands, etc. It's also not such a fast-moving sport that makes us couch potatoes out of breath just by watching it.

I am sorely disappointed at the lack of Nascar and Starcraft among listed sports options.

I for one want to spearhead a movement calling for the re-introduction of gladiatorial combat. To fight and die for the amusement of tens of thousands of complete strangers! I can't think of a more honorable way to go.

...of course, I won't be doing any of the fighting. See, I got this old football injury, and...
I don't write fanfic, but if I did it would involve Zhou Yu and Zheng He fighting to win the heart of Lai Choi San. Then I'd make them join forces to fight Ming the Merciless, who secretly works for Master Li. I'd squeeze Lu Bu in there somehow.

I VOTE FOR KONGMING'S BALLS :'D It's catchy and fits many different sports!

...I too think that curling is an ideal link to ancient Chinese politics. It accomplishes relatively nothing a four-year-old couldn't figure out, is more complicated than anyone really thinks is necessary, and in the end whether you win or lose you're still... Yeah.

So yeah.

1) Competitive Knitting
2) It makes tons and tons of American flags. How much more Chinese can you get- oops.
3) I still like Kongming's Balls.
4) I vote Gan Ning.
