Oh, I understand the original intent of this particular project. I was just talking about how to extend beyond the original idea. I'm just saying that this could really be made to be pretty elaborate once we got things set up. I don't propose doing all the crazy stuff at once.

I don't know if it's considered good taste to edit each other's posts in this stage, so I'll just reply. The RTK TV serial was made by CCTV (China Central Television).

Sure, its not a problem. Just make sure you note it at the end. That's the start of "mod" powers, which is always fun. Also, thanks for the information.

I've added all those entries into the first post, so just edit away in that area if you find more information that is not listed. If you want to add more notes on the entries themselves - for example, a piece of trivia or something that wasn't covered - feel free to add some as well.

If you are uncertain of your contribution that is one thing, but if you know it is appropriate then, by all means, edit it in. There is a comment feature which you can also use if you wish. It displays comments on the first page which are not actually rendered at KMA. The whole purpose of this project is to allow people to collaborate. Editing is the reason why it exists!

Would it make sense to have links to veoh, youtube or [insert video-playing site here] that link to episodes of the anime/tv shows you guys are referencing? I could probably find a list of links for that Lu Xun anime, or of some other Three Kingdoms stuff.

While that sounds like a good idea, it might be a bad move - unless of course James approves it. The thing about it is that links to Youtube and Youtube COULD possibly lead to legal trouble. Especially with the whole Viacom/Google settlement, it might cause trouble in the future. However, it is up to James.

I don't care much what Viacom thinks.

My only fear is that content we link to will be taken offline thus promoting link rot.

James pointed out this project to me, so here I am!

It's a good idea to have a compilation of all available media that features 3 kingdoms background and characters. Would you also consider including songs and poetry?

I think it would be a good addition to allow members to submit reviews with more detail about these media rather than just synopses, and compare them with the story of the three kingdoms, especially for the anime, which we all know are frightfully incorrect but some people actually believe them to be an 'informational source on Chinese history'

(well we could point out which parts actually adhere to 3kingdoms, for starters, since there are probably too many inaccuracies to list)

In fact, if I get time, I might try to contribute a review and commentary for Resurrection of the Dragon.
