Then I guess it was very beneficial for me to have messaged you about the Odds & Ends section or I probably would never have had this opportunity. But that seems to be such a random process...

I was pulling your leg, Mikhail. :P

You should know better by now. How long have you been in the forum? I thought for a moment about who was active, responsible, and who had demonstrated an interest in contributing to the community presently and in the past. They are the people I originally added and they are the same people who probably would have signed up (well, I might have to tug on a few legs) on their own accord.

I've been thrilled with how much you have participated in the community lately, so I was happy to add you.

Well, you are crazy and unpredictable so for all I know you could have been telling the truth!

Plus you ARE code crazy, so the excel bit wasn't TOO farfetched...

I'll take that as a compliment. :pika:

I'll do something advanced only if I think it will save me time or offer a worthwhile benefit. I never complicate things just for the sake of complicating them (that's one major reason why I use a Mac instead of Linux), but I'll do something pretty complicated if I think it will save me trouble in the long run. This editor is a good example of that. I was able to create the editor in about the time it would have taken me to research and write about two good articles. If it is able to inspire members to create two good articles that Kongming’s Archives’ wouldn't have been able to share otherwise my investment of time will have balanced out. :)

I'll write an advanced spreadsheet to manage my credit cards and credit history (in fact, I have), but when it comes down to something like this, I'll do it as abruptly as possible. I actually hate losing time to process.

Hehe... that is why updates here just happen and usually aren't announced in advance. Most other message boards would have scheduled a date for the phpBB 2->3 upgrade and announced it on the home page of the site a month in advanced. I haven't even announced the new forum yet (but I plan to).

So now you know a little better what to expect from me. :P

Ey I would be honored to be turned purple.
Listener up there! what have you to confide to me?
Look in my face while I snuff the sidle of evening,
(Talk honestly, no one else hears you, and I stay only a minute longer.)

I'd certainly be intrested in something like this but I'm not really sure what I can add. If you've got anything specific you'd like I'd be more then happy to give it a crack, if not I'll wait untill I can think of something constructive myself.
Have a question about a book or academic article before you buy it? Maybe I have it!
Check out my library here for a list of Chinese history resources I have on hand and my tumblr to see if I have reviewed it!

I'd like to apply to be a Kongming's archives editor.

I am interested in working on anything, if you wanted me to, but I would prefer to work on either the Games or History sections, since those are both areas I have the most experience in. Specifically, I would like to work on biographies.

My intrest started when I first played RoTK VI, back when I was arould eleven or twelve. Then, around 2005, I got the novel and have been in love with it ever since.

My name is Paul, and I am eighteen years old and a senior in high school. I am currently planning to attend college and major in English.
My avatar is Roy from Fire Emblem: Binding Blade, as he appears in Fire Emblem: Awakening

I've added all three of you!

Qu Hui, if you have any novel or history related ideas that could be great. You might start an article about the various historic sources. I'm sure people would be happy to contribute to that. Or it could be any other historic topic such as an overview of women of the Three Kingdoms, or a specific event. Or an article discussing something of particular interest (like Guan Yu and Zhang Fei, novel vs. history). Hopefully in starting an article others are interested in contributing to make it an excellent resource. Or if you have an idea you are happy to carry out from start to finish that works too. And thanks again for all that you have contributed to the Development Project! :)

Sun Fun, Kingdom of Cheng, welcome to the project. Please think up any idea that might be worthwhile. It can even be an article for a game. Almost anything for a new Koei game, for example, would be a new contribution to the site given that I haven't had enough time to put much content together. You've got full editing rights to the forum. I'll make it your default group after you've published an article. :)
