Wow, great work, Lady Wu!
You've poked around with the editor, so I was wondering: is it possible to add additional generals? For my "Legend of Sun Ce" MOD, I wanted to include more generals to make the story more interesting, but I couldn't seem to get them to work.

No, you can't add new generals, as far as I know (though I see some blank spots at the end of that part of the file). What you COULD do, though, is recycle some of the original characters. For example, if you're not going to use Ju Shou, Tian Feng, and Shen Pei (why would you if you're Sun Ce), you could change them into Zhang Hong, Yan Baihu, and Wang Lang (or whoever). If the main character is Sun Ce, though, you'd have to rename Cao Cao as Sun Ce (you can reassign a sprite to him).Sun Gongli wrote:Wow, great work, Lady Wu!

If you're comfortable reading Simplified Chinese, check out the xycq forum. They have a HUGE hub of LoCC modders, and a few dozen mods to download (in fact, they have a MOD contest going on now!). There are tons of very helpful threads on how to design your own LoCC-based game, as well as practical information on how to hack.

Do you modded games, or modding tools? In terms of modded games, there's everything from the acclaimed Legend of Lu Bu to Legend of Zhao Yun/Liu Bei/etc., to stories taken from other period of Chinese history.Terranigma Freak wrote:My chinese isn't very good, can you give me to low down on some of the mods available?
Modding tools: There are various scenario editors. The one I have lists all events in a tree form, and you can add/delete/modify events and actions at a click of a button.
PS: I updated the Edk5-Englishhackv3.exe file. I hacked the opening logos and stuff out (since they don't display normally anyway).I don't want to mod the game into something completely different, but some enhancements would be nice. I see a sprite mod, but not sure if it requires you to change the game into something else.

I'm having trouble running the EDK English exe. Every time I click on it, I get a message saying: "This application has failed to start because AutoDLL.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I tried a re-install, but I still get the same problem.
Also, my font looks a little wacky. This is NOT exclusive to the translation. The font looks a little wacky even in Chinese. Is there a way to fix this?

Wacky font = your computer's default non-unicode language display isn't set to simplified Chinese.
Control Panel -> Region and Language Options -> Advanced -> Languages for non-unicode programs -> Chinese (PRC)
Reboot. Font should be right.
