I downloaded the new exe and repeated the above tests; no problems found. So I don't know what to say here.

S_05 and R_06 are now online.

PS: I'm going to edit the top post to list all the links.

Lady Wu, what program are you using to edit these? Because my editor freezes whenever I try to open the scenario files.

Van's LoCC Scenario Editor

Not sure if it works with Traditional Chinese LoCC files.

And here is a multipurpose editor (I use it to edit my save files, giving everyone 255 stat, so I can focus on the script rather than the battles when I'm doing the translations ;) ).

I swear it's James' fault then! My game was working perfectly until I roped him into testing!

With S_06 online now, I announce that over 1/10 of the scenario files are translated.

103 files left.

Note: I'm going to focus on the BLUE storyline first (since I have the text from the last 12 R files in the blue storyline translated already... don't ask why I was working backwards!). If you're following the translations as you play the game, you might want to develop your blue personality, so that when the storylines split, you don't have to start from scratch anymore.

Red is for ambition, and Blue for benevolence (let's not be so judgemental as to call it "evil or good"). The bar must be fully blue (or pretty darn close) in order to get the blue storyline. Else you'd get the red storyline, and either the "tyrant" or "historical" endings.

PS: R_07.
Note: To get to the the stages Puyang 2 and Puyang 3 (the stuff in R/S_07 and 08), you must retreat in Puyang 1. Dian Wei will ask you on 3 occasions: at round 7, round 10, and round 12 (round 12 only if you are outnumbered). If you defeat Lu Bu in this one (hard, but not impossible, unless you haxz0red your stats like I did), you will automatically jump forward to Rescuing Emperor Xian.

Ok.

It's probably your cat. (I'm surprised you haven't blamed Dusty on this one yet.)

See, I haven't talked to you all day, and has my game crashed? No! Not once!

Yeah… I didn’t think of that, but you’re right.

It was certainly my cat.

I feel better now. :D

I really want a cat now.

Scapegoat. Scapecat?

----------

I've been translating the text in a separate document today (so I could just cut and paste into the game file). There's one gem from very late in the game (as in R_49... and I'm still hacking R_08 now... :?) that I've been dying to share. This is before the rematch of Chibi (Blue storyline):
Xu Chu: Hmm, urm, ahh...

Cao Cao: Xu Chu, what’s the matter? Not feeling well?

Xu Chu: Oh, nothing, nothing really. I was just thinking I should write a poem before this coming battle, for the sake of commemoration.

Xiahou Dun: Write a poem? You?! Hahahaha!!

Diao Chan: Hehehe...

Xu Chu: What’s so funny?! What is everyone laughing about? What’s wrong with me writing a poem??!!

Cao Cao: Oh, there’s... there’s nothing wrong. It’s a great pastime, in fact. All right, all right, I’ll give you some lessons after the battle.

Xu Chu: Yes. Thank you, my lord!

Cao Cao: Ok..... heh... heh... wahahahaha!

Xu Chu: Hey!! That’s going too far! Even Lord Cao Cao is making fun of me!
PS: Oh oh oh, here's another one. From R_31 (the last one before the two storylines split):
Xiahou Dun: “Splendid Ma Chao of Xiliang”? What’s the big deal about him? Is he really that strong?

Jia Xu: Ma Chao’s prowess is undoubtable.

Xiahou Dun: Reeeeally...?

Cao Cao: Oh, I also heard that he’s really handsome! Not like one Xiahou Dun, who’d scare the women off just by showing his face!

Xiahou Dun: Cao Cao!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cao Cao: Hahaha!! Just kidding! Just kidding!!
I (heart) Xiahou Dun. <3

Exe hack version 2 (ignore the name). A few more words hacked. (Mouseovering the icons on the top will tell you what they do.)

http://kongming.net/ladywu/Ekd5-EnglishHackv3.exe

The new zip file (see top post) contains updated R_00 to R_03 and S_00 to S_03. Typos, line length, etc. fixed.
