It's a great pleasure to enter in your forum because I don't know personally any fan of ROTK games (here in Italy they are not appreciated much). Even though I enjoyed playing with every Koei game about ROTK, the ones that i like most are Dynasty Tactics 2, ROTK X and Dynasty Warriors 4, while the worst in my opinion are all Warriors Orochi with the exception of the first one and Dynasty Warriors 6.
Well, I wrote this post because I have found out a way to mod Rotk X (SLUS-21202). I'm using a ntsc version with PCSX (PCSX2 1.1.0.r5530 - compiled on Jan 19 2013) using a NTSC bios (I own them both, it's all legal!) and Cheat Engine 6.4 (32 bit)
My aim is to create Lu Bu with his original body model. I must thanks Ray Man for this awesome video on rotk viii modding, without him I would never have been able to do what I did. Here is the link of the first of his videos

Thank you.1° step: create a character with at least one low stat (I chose INT because I know that in Luo Yang you can improve it)
2° step: put him in a scenario and go to school
3° step: open cheatengine when you have almost gained a level, select the computer+magnifying glass icon and select pcsx2 with rotk X running
4° step: put the value you are going to improve (for instance my INT is 26) and then click new scan. There should be many lines (if your pcsx2 image get stuck click pause and then resume)
5° step: when you level up your ability search for the new number in cheatengine (next scan)
6° step: right now you should have only few options left because only your value has just passed from the previous number to the next (I have only one line with 27), right click it and choose add selected addresses to the addresslist in order to save it below
7° step: right click the line below and select browse this memory region
8° step: well, what you see now

is the map of the game: copy from these numbers 00 00 00 00 39 to these 4C 75 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 42 75. They are our own Lu Bu's values
9° step: my created Lu Bu has 100 ldr, 100 war, 27 int, 100 pol and 100 chr, so there are a lot of 64 (the hex value for 100). You can mod them freely
