Can we make old threads no longer get autodeleted?

Storage space is cheap these days, and there are a lot of old threads in many of the non-SoSZ forums that were quite useful.

[maybe this was already policy - I don't know - I remember threads in the gaming forums would get autodeleted like over a decade ago]

Thank you for bringing this up. It slipped my mind that we, for a while, had some forums set up to prune certain content after a period of time. This looks like it is probably disabled now, but I will double-check.

You are right… there is no good reason to worry about the storage space or database overhead of that conversation history anymore.

Okay! Can confirm that auto-pruning is disabled. Old threads should not be deleted.

I haven’t heard from her in very recent history, so I think I’ll see if I can get in touch at some point. Mainly just to find out that she’s well and all is good. Her activity was a bit on and off in the forum in later years, though she still stayed in touch with people in the community. She stayed in touch in the IRC channel, too, and I am wondering if that is still a thing these days. May well be.

I know the IRC channel died a couple of years ago, but I think some of the regulars at the end (I largely stopped frequenting it when the discord channel came along) stay in touch!

Ah. I wondered if that might have been what happened. Because it seemed like a lot of the same familiar characters were in the Discord.
