Old login is LONGGG gone, I remember first discovering this forum 10+ years ago as a literal child with no clue what the 3k even was.

It’s great to routinely see old faces back, looking forward to see what the future here brings everyone
Strictly no doing.

Author of Three Kingdoms History:
• Zhuge Liang’s Northern Campaigns: To Restore the Han Dynasty
• Cao Cao vs Yuan Shao: Warlords of the Late Han Dynasty
• (Spring 2023) Rise of the Three Kingdoms: something something

Have you published anything online?
Some books, but not board games...

If you know the account and want to recover it, reach out!

But welcome back. :)

My brain struggles to wrap around this forum's timeline. Or the internet's, really. Something in there still remembers the first time I pulled an image out of the aether across a dial up connection and it seemed like magic. Three year later, I created a little website for Destiny of an Emperor. I know that's a long time ago, but... 25 years!?

Hoo-boy. Been a while. While the site was down I would roll through regularly because I hardly ever stop working on things related to ancient China and this place has always been a wonderful trove of information.

As for what I've been doing in my life since the last time I was actually around. Uhh...wow that seems like so long ago.
*Checks notes*
Oh, that's because it was - 2012.

Since then - I have formalized my marriage, been published, bought a house, gone through a few jobs, released a game that I was the writer and director for, worked as narrative developer for several other indie games, and become a freelance writer. Who would have guessed people would actually pay me for my writing? Still seems odd sometimes.

Glad to see so many old, familiar faces returning now that the place is back up and running. :D

Lovely to see you rcsha! sounds like you've had a busy decade! What field have you been published in?
Have a question about a book or academic article before you buy it? Maybe I have it!
Check out my library here for a list of Chinese history resources I have on hand and my tumblr to see if I have reviewed it!

Erotic Adventure Fiction

Yeah, I wasn't expecting that to be my first foray into print publishing, either.
Since then I've done mostly journalism. As sad as it sounds, I've made a lot more money writing silly video game '10 Lists' than I did from getting a book published or royalties from the game that came out in 2020.

Is that a "choose your own adventure" adventure?
A man eager to see a beautiful woman must have the patience to let her finish her toilette.

Haha, no in this case it was basically an action/adventure book - but with lots of very descriptive sex scenes in it.
It was published so long ago it's actually not even in print anymore, and the rights have returned to me. I need to edit it and improve it and republished it.
