Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI modding help
Hello, I don't know if this forum is still active but I have been editing the old Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI game, my favorite of the games, and I was wanting to know if there is a way to make the officers like Emperor Ling, Fisherman, Event 64, 65, etc as playable. I have the Zetta 1.6 guide but can't seem to make them playable. Also if anyone knows how to make the bonus officers like Bai Qi, Wang Jian, etc not have to be put in like created officers and instead have them just start in the game. My game version is on PC and is english with no PUK.

You can set those npcs you mentioned as playable by putting them in a force and making them active, however they are very glitchy in those slots. For instance, you can actually capture them but they won't show up as prisoners, and even if they are free officers and ask to join you and you accept, they still won't appear in your force. You can march them out and battle with them, and can even trigger duels with them, but yeah they don't work correctly overall. I wouldn't try using the Event ones either, those seem even more glitched or buggy than the others.
As for the unlockable officers, you'd have to move them from the slots they are in to the empty Historical Officer slots (can literally just copy their data and swap them with the historical officer number 1-30 so they switch spots), but you'd also have to assign them into existing forces or assign them to cities as free officers. That way they will appear in the city you chose so you won't have to set them up every time in the game setup in the scenario you set them up in.

Thanks for the reply, yeah, those slots just kept not working no matter what I did so decided to just remove a bunch of super late appearing children and make them the created officers then replaced them with 150 new officers, thanks RTK 14, shame that you were not good though. As for the bonus officers, Kong Qiu, Bai Qi, etc it looks like making them dependable on some officer allows them to appear under a force so I just slapped in 30 guys who make sense to be dependable, a bunch of minor Sun's, Xiahou's, etc so it gave me some more slots. Shame the game doesn't let you use all the others. If anybody ever figures out a way that would be cool, but I've got what I want in a roundabout way now so I'm good.
