Sites to purchase Ancient Chinese works (books/dvds)

Unread post by Kongde »

As title states, I'm looking for a good website to purchase a lot of Chinese works. Surely there must be more than ebay and amazon - right? Preferably, I am looking for beginning Han (Liu Bang) to end of Jin Dynasty (420AD) stuff. TV series, DVDs, books, movies, etc.

Is there such a site that exists, or must you simply try your luck with Amazon or ebay? I have actually seen Best Buy carry certain TV series box sets and movies from this time period, tho they are never in plenty

I've only ever used amazon, often if you're patient and check regularly you can get some amazing deals! For example I got Empresses and Consorts for £9 whereas right now it is £47.25 and a few months it was over a £100. The other place I've bought books from is ProQuest Dissertations when I've wanted someones Master's or PHD thesis. Like that link will take you too Leban's one on Cao Cao.
Have a question about a book or academic article before you buy it? Maybe I have it!

It’s been a few years, but I have a suggestion!

I’ve bought quite a few Chinese dramas from YesAsia. For DVDs, make sure you get ones that will work in your region (unless you have a region-free player).

They’ve always shipped incredibly quickly for me and they often have clearances/sales on their DVDs.

Abebooks is a great place to look for obscure books. Every now and then I've found something on there I've not been able to locate anywhere else!
