That's what I suspect as well. It's not a bad place to end the story. The sequel will pick up where this left off if it sells well enough.

I've never played it before either, but it is an action RPG with stats and leveling in addition to action combat. Watch the gameplay videos. They should give you an idea of what to expect.

I agree with the monster stuff. I think they went with that angle due to DW already being a thing. They probably wanted to differentiate the 2 seeing as how both are under the same company.
