Legend of Cao Cao

New postby RanMukuan on Tue Jun 27, 2006 12:40 pm

I got a question about this (awesome) game.

Is it possible in the third scenario (Hu Lao Gate?) to defeat Dong Zhuo, as he always retreats when you defeat Lu Bu?

Thanks in advance.

No, he's supposed to retreat in that level in order for the "Pursue Dong Zhuo" level to be viable.

Yeah, I thought so. It's a shame you never get to kick his ass.

Thanks for answering my question.

You can kill him in the Pursuit level. You just have to be REALLY good. I've done it before.

Huh, doesn't Dong Zhuo retreat immediately as the stage starts?

I just did the "Pursue Dong Zhuo" stage, and the only officers I defeated were the two ambush officers, Lu Bu and Li Ru.

Can anyone tell me what a purple, red and/or yellow arrow up tactic means?

EDIT ;; and a figure with a green glow around his body?

I remember Red is attack up; Purple and Yellow might've been Evade / Hit, but I can't say for certain. Same with green glow.

O.K., thanks for answering.

 ;; just killed Guan Yu, Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun in the scenario with Tao Qian, but now I'm short of rounds.

In the Pursue Dong Zhuo level, you can uncover Xu Rong's ambush by walking into it before you reach the actual trigger point where he appears. This makes it a bit easier, as you only now have a steady stream of enemies coming AT you as opposed to enemies on all sides. Then, you can just proceed through the enemies and defeat Dong Zhuo, thus ending the level.

I know, but Dong Zhuo leaves immediately as the scenario starts (before turn 1), so how is it possible to defeat him?
