Your Least Favourite DW game

Unread postby SunXia » Thu Jun 08, 2006 11:31 pm

The old thread didn't include all the recent updates and expansions so I've bumped it up, to give all the games a sporting chance!!

What is your least favourite Dynasty Warriors game?

(Please try and only vote for a game you have actually played and disliked)

I, myself, dislike DW2, it needed so much improvement and the costumes were awful!! Everything was too hard too, at least games should give you a little bit of a chance!!

Hmm I dont think I really dislike any of the DW games myself, since as they came out they showed the best advances of their time, I will go out and say I found DW4 the least enjoyable compaired to other DW games I finished it too quickly and challenge even at higher levels just wasnt there.

DW4XL helped make DW4 a more complete game but it didnt have the pull that DW3 and DW5 had for me.

I didn't play DW, DW3XL and DW5E. The least favourite is dw3 (surprise!!!). Too easy (in comparison with dw2) and poor voice acting for some of the characters.

For me, I have to say Dynasty Warriors 4 or Dynasty Warriors 4: XL.

I mean, in DW4, I hate the fact that you have to replay all 18 (or fewer, counting the Other characters) stages with each character in the Kingdom's Musou mode. It got tiring...really tiring.

Then in Xtreme Legends, I was disappointed with the fact that there was only one stage for each character. I mean, it was a nice concept, but I was expecting a lot more from it. The "Xtreme" mode was the best part of this game, but it wasn't able to save the entire game itself.

So it looks like I have to go with DW4.

It is unfair to it but I must say I dislike Dynasty Warriors, a poor beat'em up which is easily overshadowed by every new installment. It was a brilliant move to go for battle field combat over 1 on 1 beat'em ups.

DW2 is my least favorite. Probably because it's the first game and it needs improvements.

I've voted for Dynasty Warriors 4. Yep, the reason is just the same like Tso Lan's.

DW5. Its the newest one, and Koei still failed to make it better than DW3.

DW4 got very boring, very quickly. Much more so than DW3 and DW5. DW3:XL is the worst expansion I've played. Not a lot to do where my favourite characters are concerned. Using Lu Bu is always fairly fun, but not worth trading in Xiahou Dun, Zhou Yu and Wei Yan. :( The rest of the 'Other' characters bore me. I only really use them when I have to.

Dynasty Warriors 4 was boring. Pretty much have to play the same stages with everybody over and over again.
I don't regret the decision I made that day. Even now. But...my heart still aches. I..I want to follow my heart. Whether it is right or wrong will be judged by history. - Pahn
