anyone know excalty how many wei's soldier? (after chi bi) and shu's? and wu"s? because lu bei take 750,000 army to yi ling and i even doubt shu got that much

I would like to know more about the Yuan family. Specificaly, what was the Yuan's call to fame? Did they have an illustrious ancestor who fought for (or against) the Han when it formed? Also, what were the main industries of the Yuan lands? Agriculture? Did they breed horses? Did they manufacture weapons, etc? Was the entire clan wiped out when Cao Cao took their lands?

Also, how did Yuan Shao and Cao Cao know each other? Were they childhood freinds or schoolmates?

At the battle of Yi Ling, Liu Bei brought about 40,000 - 50,000 to batlle and Sun Quan had about the same amount of soldiers defending at Yi Ling. The 750,000 soldiers at Yi Ling of Liu Bei's was an exaggeration of LGZ in SGYY.

<b>Pre- Chi Bi:</b>
Cao Cao brought about 200,000 soldiers to the battle of Chi Bi, not the million or 800,000 in SGYY.

Zhou Yu had command of about 30,000 soldiers at Chi Bi defending against Cao Cao's invasion.

Guan Yu's troops numbered about 10,000. As well as Liu Qi's.

Depends on which battles you want to refer to, that is a big area. But usually Wei had more than Shu and Wu.

I can't really answer all your questions, but here's some info that I do know about the Yuan family.
The Yuan family had four generations that served the Han. Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu being the last generation. The Yuan family had held important offices during the Han reign.

Yes Cao Cao and Yuan Shao did know each other. They were friends. As to the exact relationship of them, I'm not sure how close they were to each other.

The Yuan family had been high officials for several generations, including when one of Yuan Shao's ancestors served as Prime Minister (I believe I remember a mention of that somewhwere).

Yuan Shao had control of the northern plains, horses were a big industry as was agriculture, unfortunately the land lacked many rivers and so the agriculture was not very good. Yuan Shu held the northern Jiang Dong region, so agriculture was the main thing with so much fertile land.

Yes, the entire immideate family of Yuan Shao was killed and Liu Bei had already taken care of Yuan Shu's family a few years prior. Basically the entire Yuan Clan was wiped out, save a few like 14th cousins 70 times removed or such.

Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Cao Cao served alongside each other during Emperor Ling's reign. They (along with several others, including Shunyu Qiong and Zhu Jun) comprised the chief officers under He Jin, the 12...something or others...heh. It was Yuan Shao, Yuan Shu, and Cao Cao who acted as He Jin's escort when the latter was killed. The three of them then slaughtered the Eunuchs and attempted to save the young Princes.

Yuan's family had occupied the post of "San Gong" (Three Dukes) since four continuous generations.

It was not until the fourth campaign (in the year 231) Kongming met Sima Yi.
As for the number of troops, they were not clearly recorded ... or is because of my lack of understanding. Maybe someone could help here?!

For the fifth campaign (in the year 234)

Shu (ZL) brought about 100 000 soldiers.

Wei (Sima Yi) had under his command about 220 000 soldiers.

Wu was attacking by 3 ways:
Sun Quan led about 100 000 soldiers.
The others I don't know how many they are...

Anyone please do correct me if I'm wrong...

how many yuan shao got b4 guan du? i think at least 900,000

Yuan Shao claimed to have a million man army before Guandu, which supposedly Cao Cao inherited part of after Guandu. However note they weren't trained very well, as opposed to the well-training that Cao Cao ran his original 70,000 troops at Guandu through.
Okay can anyway tell me what happened on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th northren campaigns launched by Kongming. I think almost everyone knoes what happens at the 1st and 5th, but what about the ones in between? And, was there ever a sixth campaign into Wei terrioty launched by Zhuge like there is in the book? Or is it a nice piece of work invented by LGZ
