What I did was allow any officers that had a range of intelligence between 230-239 be "Ansha" wielding officers so as to cut down on players getting Ansha and savestate hacking all game long which I have done myself, and it makes a game extremely dull. You can get Ambush by having someone w/ 200 intelligence. [...]

However, the game is set up in a way that you will not be able to get any of these officers until after Wu, essentially making it an "end-game" tactic. There is no way to learn Ansha and gain TP from it as this was a mod I created prior to the Rise of Ieyasu mod which I changed this issue. [...]

Also, keep in mind that TP gains are random for each level up. It ranges between 4-6 I believe for every level up where you learn a tactic.

I'm in the middle of my second play through. I was not able to learn Ambush at Level 11 with either Liu Bei (INT = 225), Diao Chan (INT = 200) or Xu Shu (INT = 241) in my party.

Are there any thoughts regarding revisiting this mod?... I've got an itch that can be scratched by MTP = 220!

The TP range is 4-7 for every level for which you learn a tactic.

Alright, so I revisited the mod and checked into the code. Ambush is learnable at level 12 and you will need someone w/ 200 int or over to learn it. *I believe that Diao Chan and/or Ma Liang needs to be in your party for you to utilize it later on though as I was experimenting w/ a multi-hit option which I used much more extensively in the Rise of Ieyasu Mod.

With that in mind, maybe I did get it? Level 11 was missing a tactic and concurrent MTP boost. IIRC, that is normally Jie Ce (i.e., Negate), which I believe that you may have moved to the mid-20s.

New version coming soon. Just have to fix some bugs now that I am retesting.

Hugdaddy, i found the bug. Priority level for the level 11 tactic learned was too low, and thus not showing up in the list. It will be fixed soon along with TONS of other updates to the mod :)

hehe, sounds fine. I'm trying to update it with all sorts of new features that I learned while creating the Rise of Ieyasu mod. Unfortunately, however, it will be missing the Agility-based multi-attacks due to a coding issue that happened when we were throwing around initial modding code.

I'm really spending a lot of time trying to rebalance the mod after a play through myself. I just found it too tempting to save-state hack with some fights >.> Maybe we could even get James to test the Rise of Ieyasu/ Lu Bu mod as well heh

I've even given Lu bu a new tactic which I'm hoping to test out to see its balance >.o

I'm thinking of a new mod idea, but not sure if I will start it or not as it consumes so many hours to make these mods... namewise I'm thinking

Destiny of an Emperor; Flames of Chaos.

Kind of breaks w/ my "Rise of ....." tradition, but meh.

Well, that'd ruin the story line wouldn't it eh? I was thinking about merging both the original DOAE with my Rise of Ieyasu mod, similar to what I did w/ the Path of Heaven expansion except it would be a total revision of the story just not historical, more or less fictional.
