Well okay, since you asked nicely, I will update this tomorrow (ie, Monday evening or so).

Mythical beast, eh? Maybe I should play SimRTK more...

Hehe… Taishi Ci 2.0:

He’s one of the folk I’m about to mention. Since your comic has found KMA I’ve heard nothing but praise about it. You have fans. The logical continuation of this line of reasoning is to produce more comics!

The Destiny of an Emperor gods would be pleased.

Hmm, I suppose that means I can't slack off as much.

I noticed you named Part 22 "Strange Men", which is probably a good idea. Especially as most of my titles have been "Attack on X" or "Aftermath at Y" and such.

Good heavens, no! Slacking off is not permitted. :P
(Unless of course it is necessary to continue!)

Yeah, I gave it that name when I added it to the site, but didn't know what you would want to call it. As they don't actually go anywhere, or attack anything, I thought what else applied—they spoke to strange people, so there it is! Strange Men. It was temporary, but if you like it, I'm happy to leave it.

Fate of a Rebel: Part 23
---
Somewhere near Chen Cang Fortress...

Image Huo Hu: We seem to have some slight problems here.

Image Zhang Fei: You mean how we're attacking Yuan Shu essentially just to get him to give back the women and drugs he took from his former generals?

Image Mi Zhe: Or how we're supposed to take that letter from that guy at the fort to some random person's house?

Image Yuan Shu: Or how I'm still not getting enough screentime despite being the main villain of this arc?

Image Huo Hu: Uh, I suppose those are problems in one way or another... But what I meant was, I can't read this letter that Xu Yuan Zhi gave us.

Image Chen Deng: You can't? What's wrong with it?

Image Huo Hu: I think it's written in another language or something.

Image Liu Feng: Let me see that... Hmm, it looks like Korean to me.

Image Song Yong: Well that's pretty odd. How are we supposed to know what Shui Jing's supposed to tell us if we don't know Korean?

Moments later...

Image Huo Hu: Okay, so you're going to meet Shui Jing since nobody else is Korean here.

Image Wang Gui: Look, I don't care how many times you blokes say it, I'm not Korean. I'm from Hong Kong.

Image Lu Bu: Close enough.

Image Huo Hu: Just go meet him so we can get rid of this letter. If he tells you anything useful, then write it down and come tell us. We're going on ahead towards Nan Yang.

Image Wang Gui: Fine, fine. But can I ask one more question?

Image Chen Deng: Yes?

Image Wang Gui: Why do I have to take him along?

Image Yang Jin: Avast, we be off to Shui Jing's hideout!

Image Huo Hu: Because we just don't like him. Have fun now.

Image Wang Gui: Bloody hell...

Wang Gui and Yang Jin leave to the southeast to find Shui Jing's home. The rest of Liu Bei's army continues marching north...

Image Song Yong: Let me go over this one more time. We're supposed to bring the Emperor to Nan Yang.

Image Guan Ping: Seems to be the case.

Image Song Yong: And then we try to have him persuade Yuan Shu to surrender.

Image Guan Ping: Sounds about right.

Image Song Yong: I prefer just doing what we usually do in big battles like this.

Image Guan Yu: You mean how it always seems to end up being you and Song Ren against the enemy leader, and yet you manage to win anyway? I don't think you ever told us how that worked.

Image Song Yong: Well you see, since I'm clearly the main hero of this story, every time we face the enemy, Song Ren and I combine our powers to become the almighty--

Image Huo Hu: Hey look, there's something over there in the mountains.

Image Liu Feng: Looks like a cave of some sort.

Image Zhang Fei: Oh Heaven, not another one. I'm tired of getting lost in those.

Image Guan Ping: Too bad Yang Jin isn't here. We could have told him to go inside and then left him there.

Image Mi Zhe: Since he's not here, I have an idea. I have a few straws here. Whoever draws the short straw will go explore the cave while we stay out here and relax.

Image Lu Bu: Alright, I'll go first then.

He draws a straw; it's short.

Image Lu Bu: Damn, that was fast! Oh well... Be back soon..

Lu Bu enters the cave.

Image Liu Feng: How did he manage to draw the short one on the first try?

Image Mi Zhe: They were all short straws. I just felt like being spiteful.

Meanwhile, at Shui Jing's house...

Attendant: Can I help you?

Image Yang Jin: Arr, we're here to parley with Shui Jing! Let us in or we'll--

Image Wang Gui: Bugger, just shut up already. Anyway, we're here to meet Shui Jing.

Attendant: Just a minute, please.

Image Shui Jing: ...so then I carry the 2, but then I need to round off this number by 5, which means that--

Attendant: Um, sir? There's someone here to see you.

Image Shui Jing: What? Oh... Do they have the letter?

Attendant: He wants to know if you have the letter.

Image Wang Gui: Well, we have A letter, but I can't read it anyway. Look, is this is?

Attendant: I guess it's okay.

Image Shui Jing: And after I curve this square, I... Oh, sorry. Can I help you people?

Image Wang Gui: Well you see, this odd-sounding chap at Chen Cang gave us this letter to take here, and he said you'd tell us some useful information in return.

Image Shui Jing: We'll see about that. First let me get a look at that letter.

Image Wang Gui: Are you sure you can read it?

Image Shui Jing: Of course I can! Hmm... ah, I see. You're part of Liu Bei's army, here to defeat Yuan Shu because he's proclaimed himself Emperor, and you're from Korea.

Image Wang Gui: Wow, that's right... uh, except for that last bit. How did you learn all that, from the letter?

Image Shui Jing: No, it's because you just told me. This letter is just my grocery list that I lost a few days ago. I like to write it in Korean for fun.

Image Yang Jin: Now look here, ye landlubber! You'd best be telling us what you know, or I'll make ye walk the plank!

Image Shui Jing: That's some colorful vocabulary. How does he manage to talk like that all the time?

Image Wang Gui: Hell if I know. Even we can't understand the rotter half the time.

Image Shui Jing: Well anyways, what did you want to know? Would you like, perhaps, to learn how to triangulate a dodecahedron?

Image Wang Gui: Er, something that actually makes sense might be more helpful.

Image Shui Jing: Hmm... Since you're an army, I suppose you'll be wanting some capable tacticians. I happen to know of a couple.

Image Wang Gui: Such as?

Image Shui Jing: If you were to get Fu Long or Fen Chu to help you, you'd have an easy time conquering the land. That's assuming you can find them, of course.

Image Wang Gui: Couldn't you just tell us where they are?

Image Shui Jing: I could. But isn't it more exciting not knowing?

ImageImage Wang Gui & Yang Jin: No.

Image Shui Jing: Oh, you kids are no fun these days.

Back near the northern cave...

Image Guan Ping: How long has he been down there?

Image Liu Feng: I don't know. Should we go look for him?

Image Guan Yu: Just leave him. I'm trying to enjoy the moment here.

Image Zhang Fei: Yeah, we've finally got some peace and quiet.

Image Song Ren: Oh, I finally found you guys.

Image Huo Hu: Song Ren!? Wow, Red Hare is even faster than I thought.

Image Chen Deng: I don't get it. How does Red Hare manage to catch up to us that quickly?

Image Taishi Ci 2.0: By moving through plotholes!

Image Song Ren: Let's not worry about that. I brought the Emperor like you asked.

Emperor: Hi.

Image Huo Hu: Oh good, you found him. Come over here, Your Majesty, I need to tell you what I want you to say to Yuan Shu so he'll stop being a false Emperor.

Emperor: And then you'll restore me to the throne, right?

Image Huo Hu: I can't make any promises.

Image Song Ren: So what did I miss?

Image Mi Zhe: Not much. We attacked a fort, the enemy generals lost, Song Yong did something stupid, and we're waiting for Lu Bu to finish exploring that cave over there. Pretty much the usual stuff.

Image Zhang Fei: Look, I think that's Lu Bu coming out now.

Image Lu Bu: I really should not have gone in there. Now I can't see anything, and I kept bumping into the walls.

Image Chen Deng: Maybe if you had brought a torch...

Image Lu Bu: Quiet you. So Song Ren, I take it you managed to find Cao Cao's castle?

Image Song Ren: Apparently so.

Image Lu Bu: Which way from here was it?

Image Song Ren: It turns out it was to the southwest and surrounded by mountains.

Image Song Yong: Hmm, those directions sound familiar...

Image Song Ren: Anyway, at least now that I'm back I don't have to worry about anything.

Image Wang Gui: We're back!

Image Yang Jin: Ahoy, 'tis me old mate Song Ren!

Image Song Ren: I have really got to stop talking.

more to come...

Ah, added to KMA.

Your comic, in the short while it has been online, has over 20,000 page views. At least 2,000 (probably 4,000) have read it through from beginning to end. I hear compliments from most people I talk to!

20,000 views already? Man, maybe I should start charging or something...

When you say talk to, you mean in person or like emails?
