Besides, while I understand the thrust of your point, the persistence of the human race isn't really a historical event. It's just status quo, and it's not unique to the 20th century, either.
Stanislav Yefgrafovich Petrov (Russian: Станислав Евграфович Петров) (born c. 1939) is a retired Russian Army colonel who, on September 26, 1983, averted a potential nuclear war by refusing to believe that the United States had launched missiles against the USSR, despite the indications given by his computerized early warning systems. The Soviet computer reports were later shown to have been in error, and Petrov is credited with preventing World War III and the devastation of much of the Earth by nuclear weapons. Because of military secrecy and international policy, Petrov's actions were kept secret until 1998.
What a good argument Snake. *applauds*
The tsars suck. I hate Nicholas and the rest of his Romanov family. I like Rasputin though (my friend Grigori).

3.) What have humans done that was so great besides mass-exterminating hundreds of species and mistreating each other? Clearly the vast majority of humans are evil or non-caring or else the world would be a much, better place.
SlickSlicer wrote:This man prevented world war III and quite possibly the end to humanity. I would go back in time and do what I could to stop this continuation. Actually though it might not be the best plan because nuclear armageddon might also destroy other things than humans, which might be bad. Still though, I thought I'd just mention that guy because he deserves more credit and acknowledgement than most of the famous characters in history get. Maybe instead of initiating the final solution for humanity I should just go back in time and make some speech about him to people of the United States so he could get a holiday instead.
