WOW, Lady Wu! I've never read that part. If anyone can provide a link, I'd be glad to read! It's gotta be really interesting!

I'm really curious on where each of the characters going: Lin Chong, Shi Jin, Lu Zhishen, Wu Song, Wu Yong, Yang Zhi, etc...

I don't have the link saved on this computer, but Exar might know where to dig it up (it was posted over at 3k.net some time ago).

i never liked Outlaws of the Marsh. It seemed kinda dumb. WHy would someone join up with a band of guys that caused the death of his family and destroyed his career? I'm talking about the Qin guy with the tooth mace. If it were me, i'd gather my own army to wage war to get revenge.

There is an Outlaws of the Marsh book version on Amazon.com.

Anyone read A Dream of Red Mansions? I found the book boring. I never got past chapter 10. I couldn't understand what the plot was.

Journey to the West was repetitive, and i didn't like the Movie version much. It takes forever for something to happen. But even so, I liked the book. It was more appealing to the reader.

The time portal story sounds good... is it just on the net or is there a published version of it somewhere?

Anyways, I liked Outlaws. I read the Foreign Languages Press version twice (trans. Sidney Shapiro), and it goes up to Song Jiang's death. I actually like it better than RotK (still haven't finished vol. 2 of the Moss-Roberts...). The indepent little episodes do coalesce into a single coherent storyline eventually- I actually liked how it was divided up though...

So let me get something straight then. Is the four-volume paperback boxed Foreign Lang. Press version of the story the complete work?

That's probably what is generally considered 'the full version'.
There are many different variations on Outlaws but the most popular edition is the one in the foreign language press, which is the one I have.

I haven't read Water Margin...but I've read a comic, saw the TV show, and listened to it on the radio...it seems that most people like the part about Wu Cong (the tiger slayer)...he seems to be the most popular character...

I like how the characters all come together after they commit their crime....I especially like reading how they become criminals, when they were living successful lives...

Hello. I'm new here. :D I know this site for a long time but I was just too lazy to post here until I finished ROTK (finished it a couple of days ago). Anyways, I'm reading The Art of War now. Has anybody read that book? And I'm planning to start Outaws of the Marsh (I allready read the 70 chapters version and I just bought Shapiro's unabridged version).

Can anybody actually give me a link to the time portal story?
