Always-There Wu Officers

Which of those four choices are your favorite of 'always-there' Wu officers is your favorite. By 'always-there' I mean that they were there since Sun Jian started his army.

My favorite is Zhu Zhi. He was one of the first officers I ever heard of and he has always been one of my favorites. Zhu Zhi served during three generations of the Sun(Sun Jian, Sun Ce, Sun Quan). He was the man behind the fires at Ji Ling, I beleive and he was a great asset to Sun Ce. Plus, his name is cool. 8-)

Huang Gai, loyal, honourable and a decent general. He took one hella'ova beating for the Chi Bi strategy to work and was the same person who invented the idea. If it wasn't for Huang Gai, Wu may have been totally wiped out and the rest of China would've probably followed.

I'm only choosing Huang Gai because I know the most about him from the list of officers available. Huang Gai was , as Ma Zhi Xuan stated, always loyal to the end. Despite his old age, he let Zhou Yu beat him just to convince Cao Cao of his betrayal to Wu and to cause the fire of Chi Bi.

Yes, Huang Gai was most definatly a loyal Wu officers. The beating he recieved all for a ploy was enough to show that but I am a Zhu Zhi Fan so he is still my favorite. Was Zhu Zhi ever considered a strategist because he advised Sun Ce and Sun Jian quite a bit but I dont recall him being considered a strateigist or advisor.

All of them followed Sun Jian in his earlier days, extablishing himself.
Han Dang and Cheng Pu both came from the north serving their masters faithfully for generations. But I admire Cheng Pu the most, as the head of the military guys, he's just as influential as his master himself. He fought and won many battles, showing his prowness. blablablah...................

I voted for Huang Gai, he was involved with the Fire Attack at Chi Bi, it was very affective, i haven't heard or seen what Cheng Pu or the others did

Although Huang Gai played a bigger part in the Fires at Chi Bi, Zhu Zhi also had a very big part.
Cheng Pu was probably the best military wise but that's where it ends. He didnt really have good advise ors trategies like Zhu Zhi and Huang Gai.

It was Zhu RAN who laid the fires at Yi (not Ji) Ling, not Zhu Zhi. Same clan though. Still, Zhu Zhi is underestimated.

But Cheng Pu gets my vote. He slew many of Dong Zhuo's forces, and he was a great asset in Sun Jian's war against Liu Biao. Even when Sun Ce was attacked, Cheng Pu was the only reason Sun Ce's assassins didn't get his head.

Yes, Zhu Ran did lay the fires but I beleive Zhu Zhi assisted in some other way. That is not the only reason I voted for him though. My main reason was because it was Zhu Zhi's advise that got Sun Ce to break away from Yuan Shu. If he didnt, Wu very well may not have been created. Although, I do think Sun Ce might have broken away from Shu anyways.

But what did Cheng Pu do for Sun Quan?
