Now it just seemed to me, that by the end of thier lives they would have single handedl, not liu bei, been able to defeat LuBu. Just wondering.
Also, are we to believe that Liu Bei loves Zhou Yun as much as Guan and Zhang.

Regarding characters getting stronger (or improving, like evolution), I've posted a similar topic eons ago here http://the-scholars.com/viewtopic.php?t ... =evolution

Maybe you'd like to continue the discussion from there? :D

Anyway, I think Liu Bei loved Zhao Yun slightly lesser than Guan Yu and Zhang Fei in the novel.

I'm curious about Cao Cao's relationship with Zhang Miao. Did he really cry at one point on seeing him, or am I just rambling here? I recall reading something to that effect in SGYY, but I wanted some confirmation. Also, did this actually happen in history?

[Edit]: Bah. Major eror! Just remembered exactly who Zhang Miao was! However I could have sworn that I had read something about a situation like that concerning Cao Cao and a childhood friend, but I haven't been getting much sleep lately, so I may have just thought that it happened. Sorry!

Ok, another question...

Where is it said that Huang Zhong had actually lived a long life? In his SGZ biography, all it says is that he was appointed to guard Changsha when Liu Biao took over Jingzhou province, which would occur in the 200s, after Zhang Xian and his son Yi were defeated. ZZTJ made no mention of his long life either. Is his long life just a fabrication of Luo Guanzhong's imagination/
Then they pushed forward, leaving a bloody trail, and escaped to the northwest. Ma Chao, meanwhile, heedless of his own fatigue or his mount's dashed on, gradually leaving his followers behind.

Basically, yes. I honestly have no idea either why Huang Zhong evolved into an old man in the novel. In fact, where does Yan Yan's old age come from? I only see Yan Yan show up in Zhang Fei's SGZ bio, and it doesn't mention his age there at all.

Not really, she pretended to and tried to win Lu Bu's heart as well as Dong ZHuo's. She succeeded and the end result was Fengxiang(Lu Bu) slain Dong Zhuo

In chapter 11, is the goddess of fire from the Southlands the one Zhu Rong supposedly related to?

She pretended at first but she really did in the end as evidenced by the fact that she did follow him through all his hardships and into Xuzhou.

It would certainly seem that way.
