Thanks, GuoBia! I would be a liar if I didn't say that that cake was both best chocolate cake I've ever tasted and made.

Over the weekend, my wife made this awesome tasting Yellow Cake topped with a Whipped Cream Cheese frosting and Strawberries and Blueberries garnished.

Indeed.

And with a heavier icing, the fruit didn't water up and make the icing runny. She makes that kind of cake once a year, and in the past, the fruit would cause the icing to become runny. The cake did last for a week surprisingly. I suppose that's because there were other goodies around like B&J ice cream.

Alright guess I can post this here!! The one on the left was a vanilla two tier cake with jam and cream in the middle and royal icing with jam used to decorate it!! The second was used from the left over mix and is my favorite type of cake to make, coconut and jam, the nephew kept licking the top of that one with his finger!!!

Huh! Thick icing? Gotta try that sometime, in the far future. XD

Nice cakes, Sunny!! : O Nice old vanilla and icing sounds really good just about now. What's the pattern? I can't see it that well but I think it's a dress with a heart and a star at its side.

Awwww! Hopefully he didn't do too much damage before he got to eat it, little bird!! XDD

Martha Stewart's Cakey Chocolate Chip Cookies!

We're leaving the country for a few months, so we needed to use up the perishables in the house. This one used up eggs and butter.

Fried plums!!!

So basically we got a batch of plums that were kind of bland. So we did what all red-blooded Americans do to make it more palatable- fry it in butter and sugar.

It was goooood stuff.
