I'm the INTP/INTJ type with equal scores for both P and J. It depends on my mood to fall into either category probably.

Ouch xiaocaca, that's really annoying! I've done it many times and not had that result before! :?

Slick- there's not much to understand. The test is just to test your personality and if you read the description, it should be pretty accurate to what or who you are. There's no such thing as a negative or positive outcome, and thinking being average only means that you were something else in some quantity, but more thinking than those other qualities- so you might have been a certain % of feeling for instance- meaning it took points away from thinking.

Starscream- how interesting! I've not changed my P/J type, I'm always ENFJ!

I figured my result is due to myself being a situational Introvert/Extrovert (50/50) hence I'm borderline ENTJ/INTJ. I'm loud when I want and not so when I want. Knowing myself I'm probably more ENTJ though.

The numbers can shift a little, and if you're borderline, then you can suddenly be E instead of I.

I did the test first time and I got 52% E, next time I got 35% E, so it's quite interesting.

I didn't even think I answered differently!

The test measures your basic way of relating to the world around you. Of course we can all learn behaviours that are opposite to our fundamental personality type.

For example, I'm a very classic introvert. However, nobody who has taken a class with me would have guessed so. I'm animated and jumpy when I lecture, and make an effort to get to know the students. I make eye contact with everyone in the class, improvise, crack jokes, call on people, act surprised or excited or upset to get a point across, etc. People who see me teaching could easily classify me as an extrovert.

However, I'm still an introvert inside. Contact with people tires me out very easily, and I would really prefer to be on my own and have some quiet time (as much as I enjoy teaching). I'm still not good at handling social situations where I'm not in charge.

I had to learn to make eye contact and smile. I'm more used to acting as an extrovert now, but it's still a learned behaviour, and not something I'd do naturally.

So I might score differently on the I/E scale depending on the test. Carelessly-worded questions could test your apparent behaviour rather than your personality.

My only matches on SoSZ so far are Ezekiel and Lion's Mane.

Excerpt from one explanation found online: "INFPs are usually talented writers. They may be awkard and uncomfortable with expressing themselves verbally, but have a wonderful ability to define and express what they're feeling on paper. INFPs also appear frequently in social service professions, such as counselling or teaching." This reminds me of my thesis defence!
