Death Penalty

Unread postby Phlegyas » Mon Jul 29, 2002 3:14 am

I am for the death penalty on certain conditions. The person had to know that they committed the crime in cold blood. They chould not be mentally disabled (like the law states). If they show no remorse, why should we show them remorse?

My view is the conditional eye for an eye: If you kill someone and adhere to the guidlines above, the death penalty should be administered.

Also, why should we pay for these villians for the rest of their lives in prison (if you can call it a life)?

What do you think?

I think its ok if the victim or victims family chooses so but otherwise a life of digging ditches is worse than death on my opinion.

Depends on the crime. But I voted for "for" because I will allow that to happen.

If the crime is inhumane (like the Oklahoma bombing, which was like..... bomb everything in sight), I'd strongly suggest the guy to be killed, with injection. I don't want to do death penalty with guns or whatever. It's basically we're shooting an unarmed.

In the Yates trial, would you let a women who drowned her 5 children live?
She knew what she was doing and should be put to rest (actually she probably won't be resting where she is going).

Would you rather live a life locked up and digging ditches or get killed and end your life ultimately?

By giving death penalty, we reduce the suffering they have to go through in jail. and better yet, we have less criminal in the world. The one that cannot break the jail and runaway.

Why pay for them to live any longer?

or we could lock em up in a little cell and never ever open it again  theyll just suffer in there or better yet a casket and then concrete it into the ground while they are alive  I love my evil side :D

I favor the death penalty for savage murderers and serial rapists. I have no sympathy for them and it pains me to pay for their ability to continue living. People like this deserve no second chance. Child rapists should be killed without question.
