Links to News Organizations and Blogs

Unread postby lessthanpleased » Sat Jun 25, 2005 1:46 am

As a service to everyone here, we've decided to create a sticky with links to various news organizations and blogs of all stripes. Since no single one of us can be expected to know every good site, please post suggestions below and they will be edited into this post. The general categories as of right now (and more will be added upon request) are North American News, European News, News Aggregators, Liberal Blogs, Conservative Blogs, Moderate/Independent Blogs, Humor and Fun blogs and SOSZ Member blogs.

This post is not all-inclusive, so don't yell at me or complain that my list is terrible. I'm posting what I know, and asking you to do the same. If possible, please state which topic your suggestion would go under, and BE OBJECTIVE (telling me that The Daily Kos is a Conservative Blog is clearly incorrect, as is stating that The Drudge Report is a Moderate/Liberal Blog).

Disclaimer: Many blogs contain bad language upon occassion, as well as material that may be offensive to some people. Click at your own discretion.

Nice idea.

The Independent, my personal weapon of choice, is a damnably fine left-leaning British broadsheet. Fits neatly in European News, and is of higher quality than the "Grauniad", which is famous for its corrections pages and typos.

My goto political blog every morning is realclearpolitics.com

The feed of news articles from around the country is balanced. The blog leans right, but not nearly as far as most conservative blogs.
