Nobunaga Oda, starting with Yoshimoto Imagawa's defeat at Okhezema and edning with Hideyoshi Hashiba's unification of Japan, favourite clans? officers? the superior clan?

My favourite clan: Uesugi

And Favourite officer is : Uesugi Kenshin (1530 - 1578), self proclaimed God of War , Dragon of Echigo.
Great battles against Oda , Takeda and Hojo.

Don't know much about the era but I read a great book about an Englishman who ended up in Japan, William Adam's or something. So I like him :lol:.

Nobunaga, Hideyoshi and Tokugawa were the three rulers that reunited japan.

Nobunaga would kill the singing bird to make it sing
Hideyoshi will coax it to sing
Tokugawa would wait for it to sing.

I've read the book. It was good, Mariko :wink: by the way, apparently its not fictional, there actually was an english man cooperating with Ieyasu Tokugawa, dont you notice the similarities in name
Tokugawa = Toranaga
Ishida = Ishido

it took place after the death of theyre Lord, the peasant ( Hideyoshi Hashiba ) and the battle of Sekigahara anyone? Thats the battle between Toranaga and Ishido, or Tokugawa and Ishida, the two remaining regents placed to take care of Hideyoshi's son. I've always found that interesting :P

From what I remember he was more an advisor figure. He may of led a naval battle but for the most part he helped build and design ships and help Japan build trade relationships (mainly with England).
