I think it's pretty funny how Genghis Khan took Northern China, with one of the greatest obstacles in his way, The Great Wall. He surpassed the Great Wall with his mounted troops by going AROUND it.

I was under the impression that a great many armies got around the great wall quite easily.

I still dont really understand how for the 500years it took to build the Great Wall, the Mongols never really noticed I mean how would go like?

Chinese People: Nothing Much what about you?
Mongol: So.... Whats That? :arrow:
Chinese People: Uhh... Nothing
Mongol: Oh well by guys, see you later I guess.

Monsiuer mike i hope ur papaer went well and i found the the book "chronicles of the chinese emperors'' was a good souce and i see if i have anymore good luck.

The mongol forefathers were mostly nomadic tribes and the land was vast. It would not be a surprise if they had not seen that wall till the time of invasion by Khan
