Who is better Jiang Wei or Deng Ai

New postby Glassjaw on Sun Mar 23, 2003 4:48 pm

Who is better Jiang Wei or Deng Ai. Jiang Wei gets his own Dynasty Warriors character but Deng Ai continously defeated him on the battle field. Am I missing something or is Jiang Wei seriously over rated?

Deng Ai is much better. He crushes Jiang Wei repeatedly and is always one step ahead of his Shu rival...

Jiang Wei was consistanly defeated in his campaigns. Deng Ai was a leading factor in the fall of Shu.

Jiang Wei was an idiot, first off he changed Wei Yan's defense at Han Zhong. And then there's the fact that he went on so many failures of campaigns. Also Deng Ai had plans on how he could defeat Wu, and had set up agricultural projects, Deng Ai was truly one of the greatest officers of the three kingdoms. There's no comparison, Deng Ai was much better.

Deng Ai is better... I hate to say it. Jiang Wei didn't know anything about strategy, he was only made to look good by Luo Guanzhong when Zhuge Liang attacked his prefecture. Jiang Wei was almost always defeated by Deng Ai.

Jiang Wei is never going to get any votes. Even though I would like to support Shu...

Following the great words of TheGreatNads, "Deng Ai was truly one of the greatest officers of the three kingdoms. There's no comparison, Deng Ai was much better." Well put!

My vote goes to Jiang Wei. At first Jiang Wei seemed over matched by Deng Ai, but as the campaigns went on Jiang Wei did win I think two times only to be called back by Liu Chan.

Deng Ai had it easy, he had more troops and more supplies. Second he was defending his territory. It is much easier to defend than it is to attack. Who know were the best loctaions for defense are, who can watch the attackers movements, lay ambushes etc...

How many times did Deng Ai attack Jiang Wei, none. The only time was with Zhong Hui and that was when Jiang Wei had been demoted and sent away.

I feel that Jiang Wei is better.
