Zhuge Liang's Way of the General

Unread postby waywardauthor » Fri Sep 06, 2019 4:23 pm

This popped in my inbox this morning, and appears to be a series of translated remarks by Zhuge Liang on the management of war as "preserved" by the Daoist tradition. I haven't looked too deeply at it yet, but it seems to be worth a look.

Alone I lean under the wispy shade of an aged tree,
Scornfully I raise to parted lips a cup of warm wine,
Longingly I cast an empty vessel aside those exposed roots,
And leave behind forgotten memories and forsaken dreams.
