Lu Qian

Where can I find out much about the guy. Recently played DW9 and saw Cao Xui jump in at first call to arms as long term servant and master of the bow and remembered Lu Qian was exactly the same in many ways but he's barely featured in the game and I don't think he's in the book all that much either but want to see his accomplishments none the less - feeling he's maybe under featured?

This is all from the Biographical Dictionary of the Later Han to Three Kingdoms by Rafe de Crespigny.

Lu Qian joined Cao Cao in 192 after Taizu took over Yanzhou. His reputation as clever and brave are what won over Cao Cao. He was given command of the garrison at Shanyang. A colonel named Du Song rebelled in Dong Hai and planned to allign with Chang Xi. Lu Qian was sent to take his place and when he arrived, he invited the ring-leader Gui Mu and several others to a feast. He got them drunk and then had them all killed. There was no resistance after this event. He then became Administrator of Taishan. The area was known for being constantly plundered, and so Lu Qian changed things by offering to be generous towards these men, ad instill an honest government. This compelled many to come forward and surrender. Lu Quan chose the best among them to become soldiers, thus making these the strongest soldiers. In 206 he and Zang Ba joined with Xiahou Yuan to attack Xu He at Ji'nan. Thousands of people were killed an captured and the Turbans were defeated. For this Lu Qian was given command of the forces in Qingzhou and sent to Donglai to fight Li Tao. He met resounding success and Cao Cao made him Commandant of Cavalry. Lu Qian remained in Taishan for 30 years. When Cao Pi became Wen-di he treated Lu Qian well by making him a Marquis, a general and an Inspector of Xuzhou. Everyone admired him. His fief was increased under Cao Rui and he passed away a year after Ming-di in 240.

Haha, I just translated it in this time before you two posted, but JYD's translation is much better though with minor differences. Mine wouldn't be as useful comparatively so there's no need to post it
