Sanguo zhi jijie

Unread postby plunged » Wed May 01, 2013 7:03 am

Does anyone have a PDF file or perhaps a website where I can find the Sanguo zhi jijie 三國志集解 by Lu Bi 盧弼? Preferrably not a scanned copy, but a rewritten one through which I can search with Ctrl+F

Never found a searchable electronic version, but I have the set at home so if you're after a specific passage let me know.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm not really after a specific passage. Just the whole thing :)

I've just found this download...

http://ishare.iask.sina.com.cn/f/184085 ... ?from=like

...it's not the complete set, just Wei shu 2 to Shu shu 4. Individual chapters are also available as a download here:

http://ishare.iask.sina.com.cn/f/781580 ... from=isnom

With a PDF merger you can merge them into one file.

It looks to be the real deal, but how can I spot Lü Bi's adds?

Your link is part 2 of a 3-part scan. The others are available over the next few search pages. I'm not sure how you're going to read/search that, though; the scan quality isn't very good and it's definitely not in a searchable format. However, that *is* the real thing, one of the earliest printings back when punctuation was not a thing (I had a copy of that out from the library a while ago when I still had access to such things; it was a pain to read).

Lu Bi's additions are the stuff in the smallest fonts. On page 350, you can see the difference between Pei Songzhi's additions (medium font) and Lu Bi's (smallest font).

Edit: Lu Bi != Lu Bu, duh...

Yea I know it's not in searchable format, but I can't find one that is (except for a downloadable version of this one but doesn't look trustworthy) so just went for a scanned version.

I've heard that it has interesting information on the works cited by Pei Songzhi which is mainly why I'm interested in it. If it was searchable I could also copy/paste Lu Bi's adds to the SGZ I have on the wiki... oh well.

well, if your offer still stands, would you mind looking something up on Sun Sheng 孫盛 and his works Zaji 雜記, Zayu 雜語, Yitong Zayu 異同雜語, Ping 評, Yitong ping 異同評 and Yitong ji 異同記? Rafe de Crespigny believes they're all the same but doesn't provide his idea with much detail. He seems to use the Sanguo zhi jijie a lot when it comes to these kind of things... I don't know which pages you should check though...

If it helps, I know that above works of Sun Sheng were quoted in these chapters:

*Wei1 (Yitong zayu, Zaji, Yitong ping)
*Wei9 (Zayu)
*Wei18 (Zayu)
*Wei21 (Ping)
*Shu5 (Yitong ji)
*Shu14 (Zaji)
*Wu1 (Yitong ping)
*Wu19 (Yitong ping)

Since Pei Songzhi was quite fond of abbreviating titles I think it's pretty sure that Ping and Yitong Ping are the same, as well as Zayu and Yitong Zayu.

Can you give me more specific coordinates? Each of those chapters is huge and it's going to be a pain to scan through and look for the references.

I got these locations from my online version of SGZ (not JJ!):
Book of Wei 1:
*異同雜語 found in the fifth quotation (which starts with 《魏書》曰).
*雜記 found in the twelfth quotation (which starts also with 《魏書》曰).
*孫盛 starting the 30th quotation.
*孫盛 starting the 57th quotation.
*異同評 found in the 69th quotation (which starts with 《山陽公載記》曰).
*孫盛 starting the 95th quotation.
*孫盛評 found in the 112th quotation (which starts with 《魏略》曰).

Book of Wei 2:
*孫盛 found in the 8th quotation (which starts with 《魏書》曰).
*孫盛 found in the 15th quotation (which starts with 《魏書》曰).
*孫盛 starting the 30th quotation.
*孫盛 found in the 42nd quotation (which starts with 《魏氏春秋》曰, which was a text by Sun Sheng).

Book of Wei 9:
*孫盛 starting the first quotation.
*雜語 found in the seventh quotation in the biography of Xiahou Shang 夏侯尚傳.

Book of Wei 18:
*孫盛 starting the first quotation in the biography of Wen Ping 文聘傳.
*雜語 starting the first and only quotation in the biography of Lü Qian 呂虔傳.

Book of Wei 21:
*孫盛評 found in the fourth from last quotation (which starts with 《世語》曰)
*孫盛 is mentioned twice (but not quoted) in very long quotation in the biography of Wang Can which starts with 康字叔夜。案《嵇氏譜》.

Hmmm maybe this is enough (too much?) for now :)

I have the PDF Sanguo Zhi Jijie, if you don't mind a highlighted one(mostly in Wu). But it exceeds the size limit of a file that can be uploaded. Would you like to have it by Email?
You bloomed like a burning rose and exhausted my heart, which hence can bear nothing but weeds.
