Work has to be done still, there's a lot of officers that don't have translation yet that deserve them.

TigerTally wrote:Hans H. Frankel's Catalogue of Translations from the Chinese Dynastic Histories for the Period 220-960 features a list of translated passages from both Records of the Three Kingdoms and Book of Jin. Most of the SGZ ones, however, are from Achilles Fang's Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms.

I'm familiar with him. He also wrote an article on Cai Yan which is really worth checking out.

I'm going to go get myself a copy of Doctors, Diviners, etc. as soon as I can. I actually had never heard of it before.

Translations of the biographies of Liu Yan, Liu Zhang and Liu Bei can be found here:

https://www.academia.edu/5318543/Sanguo ... _Liu_Zhang
https://www.academia.edu/5318625/Sanguo ... of_Liu_Bei

Translated by Robert J. Cutter and William G. Crowell (from Empresses and Consorts). They say it was prepared as part of a project to translate Chen Shou’s Sanguo zhi and Pei Songzhi’s commentary, but that project had to be discontinued.

Thanks. I have added links to those. There is another translated chapter of SGZ by the same uploader. (https://www.academia.edu/5318635/Sanguo ... _and_Lu_Yi)

Is this Bill Crowell a relative to William G. Crowell?

I think Bill = William?

William is his given name and Bill is his usual name?

Like people who are called Andrew always go by Andy. And Bill is a common nick for Will(iam).

His biography is in Book of Jin rather than SGZ
