That, my friend, is a question that we'll never be able to answer.

Lu Bu could have had sons, but who all died in infancy and we never found out about them.

Lu Bu wouldn't have had a gazillion concubines, either, since you have to be (a) pretty rich, and (b) pretty stable, and (c) have connections in order to marry/support multiple women (generally speaking, anyway), and Lu Bu wasn't any of that.

Furthermore, while there are cases where a girl marries a man out of her own free will, generally marriages had nothing to do with whether the couple loves each other. (And don't forget Dong Zhuo already forced a bunch of women into his harem...)

And on top of that, even in this day, many couples try to conceive but can't, and it's not always certain why. And there were no fertility clinics back then (and even today fertility "treatments" don't always work).

Well we know he had at least one daughter. So he was capable of concieving children. But as lady Wu pointed out infant death wasn't uncommon, it is possible that he had several children who died when they were very young.

According to this:

http://yueying.net/dw/?page=profiles.others.lu_bu

Lu Bu had 2 wives, 1 concubine and 1 daughter.

So yeah, he didn't have 100 concubines. for the reasons that Lady Wu stated.
My English isn't very good, so forgive me if there are any grammar/spelling mistakes in my posts.

Dong Zhuo was his adoptive father, but other than that the site lacks a bit...

And there could be nearly unlimited reasons why he hadn't any sons, or we just don't know about them.

Why did Dong not have any recorded sons? He lived longer, had far far more woman (despite being turned down by Lady Huangfu) yet it was only his nephew's and son in laws we know about. So it isn't that hard to realise Lu Bu might not have had any

Dong was shooting blanks evil is the best protection
Some peope are just predisposed to having girls rather then boys, it seems that Dong and Lu were two of those people. It took Liu Bei to get into his 40s i believe before he had his first son, girls all the way before that.

The big problem during that Age was Cao Cao! He made so many children, there just wasn't anything left for the rest...

Diao Chan was fictional. Lady Yan, who also acted as an adviser, and Lady Chen.
