i am wondering if anyone here admires taishi ci greatly for his achievments and battles as i have. I think that he wasa great warrior that was loyal and brave. I was also very fasinated by how he incresed to such a high rank with wu over such little time. please discuss anything about him, i would be happy to talk about him.

I like Taishi Ci, but more for his accomplishments for Kong Rong in beihai (sp?) than in his service under the Sun's. He could have been as influential a warrior as Gan Ning or Lu Meng had he survived the ambush.

(Originally I thought he died at Hefei, but I guess I've been playing too much dynasty warriors and need to reread that section of the book)

From SGZ, Taishi Ci was reputedly shorter than Zhuge Liang and he wore a beautiful beard like Guan Yu. :D

The duel between Sun Ce and Taishi Ci supposedly took place in history too.

Supposedly? SGZ says so and SGYY says so, so I'd say they're right.

Cao Cao also had a long beard and was short.
I think short long bearded men were in fashion at that time.

I like his last speech before his death - which I drew :)

I really admire him greatly and I love the 2 short lances on his back......very nice :)

I rather have him use those than in Dynasty Warriors which his moves and his weapon basically suck in my opinion......

You have to remember that the Chinese way of measuring height was rather ambiguous. Taishi Ci was said to be 7'7 while Zhuge Liang was 8.

Does anyone know for sure how it worked? I used to think that one chi was 23.4cm, but that can't be right; I can't belive Zhuge Liang was 187.2cm.
