Well, Sun Quan and Cao Cao would just go take the land.

Note that Liu Bei is singing it to Liu Zhang.

Yeah, that's why he's like "When I conquer I feel happy inside!"

That's the cue for Pang Tong whacking him with a large metal stick.

Is Cao Cao really recognized by people as a drunk?

"9 While Cao Cao remained with the fleet, it occurred the full moon of the eleventh month of the thirteenth year of Rebuilt Tranquillity (AD 208). The sky was clear; there was no wind; and the river lay unruffled. He prepared a great banquet, with music, and thereto invited all his leaders. As evening drew on, the moon rose over the eastern hills in its immaculate beauty, and beneath it lay the broad belt of the river like a band of pure silk. It was a great assembly, and all the guests were clad in gorgeous silks and embroidered robes, and the arms of the fighting soldiers glittered in the moonlight. The officers, civil and military, were seated in their proper order of precedence.
20 The setting, too, was exquisite. The Southern Hills were outlined as in a picture; the boundaries of Chaisang lay in the east; the river showed west as far as Xiakou; on the south lay the Fan Mountains, on the north was the Black Forest. The view stretched wide on every side. » guanping -- I would like to see that one day » DongDal -- Me too. -- I wouldn't mind seeing the Emei mountains too.
21 Cao Cao's heart was jubilant, and he harangued the assembly, saying, "My one aim since I enlisted my first small band of volunteers has been the removal of evil from the state, and I have sworn to cleanse the country and restore tranquillity. Now there is only left this land of the south to withstand me. I am at the head of a hundred legions. I depend upon you, gentlemen, and have no doubt of my final success. After I have subdued the South Land, there will be no trouble in all the country. Then we shall enjoy wealth and honor and revel in peace." » guanping -- look at Cao Cao's goals -- tranquility, peace, no trouble. Can anyone doubt him now? » DongDal -- He could be telling porky pies. -- This speech makes him look good doesn't it? » guanping -- I like the speach though -- why would Cao Cao lie to his trusted, pro-Cao men? » DongDal -- Force of habit? » Tiamatty -- Morale -- This speech is basically all about inspiring his men to work hard. Stirring them to great acts of heroism. From a literary standpoint, it's to make his imminent whooping that much more fun to read. » guanping -- or upsetting if you are pro Cao Cao -- Mind you I did find Ma Chao's efforts and Jia Xu's sucesss against Cao Cao most enjoyable » Tiamatty -- Nah -- Even if you're pro-Cao Cao, the last couple chapters have been hilarious, and the fight is still fun. I like Cao Cao, but it's still great seeing him get pwned like a little school girl.
22 They rose in a body and expressed their appreciation, saying, "We trust that you may soon report complete victory, and we shall all repose in the shade of your good fortune."
23 In his elation, Cao Cao bade the servants bring more wine and they drank till late at night."

Oh my, I just rediscovered this thread.

Help!

Lead singer: Liu Bei

Help! I need somebody.
Help! Not just anybody.
Help! I need you, Zhuge Liang. Help!

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never had a strategist help me in any way,
But now these days are gone and I’m not so self assured,
Now I find I’ve changed my mind, I’m knocking on your door.

Help me if you can, I need some land
And I do appreciate your Longzhong plan.
Help me build an empire large and grand,
Won’t you please please help me?

And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,
My independence seems to vanish in the haze.
But every now and then I feel so insecure,
I know that I just need you like I've never done before.

Help me if you can, I need some land
And I do appreciate your Longzhong plan.
Help me build an empire large and grand,
Won't you please, please help me.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,
I never had a strategist help me in any way,
But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,
Now I find I've changed my mind, I’m knocking on your door.

Help me if you can, I need some land
And I do appreciate your Longzhong plan.
Help me build an empire large and grand,
Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.

A very interesting idea, Lady Wu! I think I have one...

Your's becomes much more meaningful when the song is played in the background, I guess that would be the case with all of these, hehe. Very well done.
50 Ways to Leave Your Lover

(Sung to the tune of 50 ways to leave your lover)

I guess the obvious interpretation would be Lu Bu and Diao Chan discussing how to kill Dong Zhuo, but I decided to throw other assassins or failed assassins or defecting officers in there as well.

50 Ways to kill your ruler

"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to kill your ruler

She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself, at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to kill your ruler
Fifty ways to kill your ruler

You kill him as a gang, Zhang
Slice him in two, Lu
No need to be his goon, Sun
Just listen, Fushi
Don't do it now, Cao
You don't need to discuss how
Just poison the Di, Li
Get yourself free

Ooo kill him as a gang, Zhang
Slice him in two, Lu
No need to be his goon, Sun
Just listen, Fushi
Don't do it now, Cao
You don't need to discuss how
Just poison the Di, Li
And get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways

She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to kill your ruler
Fifty ways to kill your ruler

You kill him as a gang, Zhang
Slice him in two, Lu
No need to be his goon, Sun
Just listen, Fushi
Don't do it now, Cao
You don't need to discuss how
Just poison the Di, Li
And get yourself free

Kill him as a gang, Zhang
Slice him in two, Lu
No need to be his goon, Sun
Just listen, Fushi
Don't do it now, Cao
You don't need to discuss how
Just poison the Di, Li
And get yourself free
As you know security
is mortal's greatest enemy.
