How is Cao Zhang like Lu Bu?

Obviously, just because he's a strong general does not mean he's an arrogant fool. Look at Lu Meng or Gan Ning.
Lu Xun- "After much observation of how Liu Bei had been leading troops in his career, I see that he had more failures than success; hence, he is not much of a threat."

I guess everyone is ignoring that Cao Zhang was a master at Go. That requires at least above average intelligence.
