I would vote Zhang Liao. His performance at the battle of He Fei was very surprising even if he was outnumbered by Wu.

Well I go for Zhang He, a fine head on his shoulders. Amazed that Zhang Liao got so many, sure he was good but to gain such a majority?

I think Xu Huang had more acommplishments than Zhang Liao. Zhang Liao just had one big one. I also like Zhang He as well.

All were renowned campaigners and great generals. Of the selection, Zhang Liao wins out thanks to his great victory at Hefei. Few, if any, generals of the time can compare to him in talent.

I will go with Yue Jin, i have always liked him. He had many victories in the fight against Lu Bu, Yuan Shao Gao Gan Yuan Tan Yuan Shang etc. He particpated in many battles where he attained fame. He also played a part in the defense of He Fei. Zhang Liao did his raid and it was impressive however he wouldn't have been able to hold off Wu in the first place without Yue Jin and Li Dian's assistance. Yue Jin is one of the most underrated generals in the three kingdoms.

After reading the novel, Yu Jin and Yue Jin didn't really seem that great to me. After reading thei SGZ biographies however, I have to say they definitly rank amongst the best generals of their time. Its a shame Yu Jin surrendered to Shu though....

Xu Huang, I just like him in DW :P.

They all did a lot though, Zhang Liao had as the most impressive feat.

To me, a man who can repel 100,000 troops with 500 troops is the ultimate bad@$$!
