I played organized soccer when I was a kid (who doesn't?) but I have little patience for it nowadays. I don't think it's a bad sport but for some reason it just doesn't catch my fancy.

The great Luton Town FC. About to be promoted as Division One champions to the Championship. There's still some hope Watford will go down.

As for foreign teams, I like really cool or bizarre team names:

Partick Thistle (Scotland)
The Strongest (Bolivia)
Kaiser Chiefs (South Africa)
Al Ahly (Egypt)
Esperance (Tunisia)
Newell's Old Boys (Argentina)
Corinthians (Brazil)
Colo Colo (Colombia)

Anyone got any great team names to report?

Who seen that goal by Rooney? Even if I say so myself, it was a spectaucular goal - straight into the top-left from outside the box. But I forgot who Man U were playing against.

It was Newcastle. My wife was gutted (hee hee hee). She's a Magpie and her team's season has gone horribly wrong in the last couple of weeks.

YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE!!! (Guess which team?)

We're destined to win the Champions League!!! In 1977, the Pope died and Wales won the rugby grandslam... In 1981, Prince Charles got married, Ken and Deirdye got remarried...Liverpool finished 5th...

We also lost the league cup to the eventual League champions (Nottingham Forrest) in 1978...and then we beat them in the European Cup, ... 49,00.html <-- check this out

;) Liverpool FC w00t!!! Go on you MIGHTY REDS ^_^ c'mon and beat Chelski, Maureen and everyone blue!

A unfortunate result seeing the play. Now Chelsea can bag the away goals. This has actually put more pressure on Liverpool. Containing play they can not do. They have to go for a win. A draw won't be enough. Once Chelsea sets the pace, it's done.

As I said before, seeing Milan's strength, Chelsea is our only hope to see an English Team lift the cup.
