I submitted some earlier, but still thinking about some of the other catergories. I haven't really played any mech customization, light gun or mascot racing so I'm not sure if it's better to leave blank or just go with one I'd like to try.

Personally, for the categories I'm not sure of, I left my nominations mostly blank and plan to watch them for good recommendations from others. :)

I'm sure there are some other big ones I've forgotten though!

I've gone back in and added new nominations here and there over the past couple of days. :) It's funny how games will pop into your head when you're not even really thinking of them during BGE time.

OH, THAT REMINDS ME!

The guy who submitted the Light Gun category had this to say by way of clarification:

When I proposed the question of best light gun games, my intentions were to include any type of game where you aim a physical controller at the screen to shot objects. So a game like House of the Dead Overkill would definitely count, because you play it with a Wiimote or a Move controller aimed at the TV despite the controller not actually using light gun technology.

There are also games such as Snatcher or the Adventures of Bayou Billy where light guns are only used for parts of the game. I feel that a person may nominate these games if they wish, but these games probably won't get that many votes since they are not exactly the best examples of the genre.

Skyward Sword would fall into the same group of games as Snatcher: games that have light gun sections/elements in them, but the light gun aspect is not the primary focus of the game. I would not personally nominate or vote for these kind of games for this category.

Some good examples of light gun games on the Wii would be:
The House of the Dead 2 & 3
The House of the Dead: Overkill
Ghost Squad
Link's Crossbow Training

If DZ is gonna nominate Dynasty tactics in a few categories then I might through my weight behind it too. Give it a better chance! I always preferred the sequel but would like to see one of them do well.

Innovative Mechanics really has so many good canidates. Very curious how that one will turn out.

Edit: The graphs for the current vote count feels a little wonky though. It seems to have more graph bars than games listed?

Google Forms graphs are very stripped down and barebones. I don't like them at all. I'll provide a summary of the results after each poll closes.
