But what's between 27E82 and 27FD7 then? If I'm right and descriptions begin at 2735a, at the rate of 68 bytes each description by 27e81 you would already have 42 descriptions (maximum). Maybe only garbage ("would be" descriptions)?

Also where (in which offset) do districts end and cities begin?
Seems you're right, districts would be on the range: 27FD7 to 28126
Cities would begin at 281a0?

Nobody knows what's between 27E82 and 27FD7 yet.

Districts start at 27FD7, as foosoomin said, and end at 28126, equaling 42 districts.
Cities start at 2814F.

Ok, I was editing my previous post when you posted ... can you confirm cities offset?

Thanks, I'll edit the guide accordingly now and then post it here.

EDIT:
Ok, v1.1 have correct offsets and have better district explanation (I hope :lol: ).
Hopefully someone can make 1.2 with corrected hex examples.

District code explanation

Unread postby foosoomin » Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:01 am

Lezard,

Here's the District & conquest code explanation

Example: Cao Cao district & conquest code ( Extracted from Dong Zhuo Rise scenario )

Explanation of Hex value: 00 01 57 01 00 05 00 FF

1) 00 -> Force Position

2) 01 -> District Number ( in this case is 1st district )

3) 57 01 -> Officer position

4) 00 05 00 FF -> conquest code ( in this case Cao Cao was programmed to attack/destroy Dong Zhuo force )

You may change the conquest code to the below ones, similar to Rise of Heroes scenario;

01 00 00 ff = Conquer Hebei (Ye, Beiping, Jinyang, etc.)

01 01 00 ff = Conquer Zhongyuan (Xuchang, Luoyang, Xiapi, Chenliu, etc.)

01 02 00 ff = Conquer Xiliang (Chang'an, Wuwei, Wan, etc.)

01 03 00 ff = Conquer Jiangnan (Xiangyang, Jianye, Changsha, Chaisang, Jiangling, etc.)

01 04 00 ff = Conquer Bashu (Chengdu, Hanzhong, Yong'an, etc.)

01 05 00 ff = Conquer Nanzhong (Yunnan and Jianning)

:?:

"District & conquest code explanation" = "5.2. Adding Forces and its Districts" in the guide

1) 00 -> Force Position

Zetta guide says it's Force color

2) 01 -> District Number ( in this case is 1st district )

Yes, and in the guide I said "Between 01 (only main force) and 09 (8 districts established)", is it wrong?

3) 57 01 -> Officer position

Zetta guide says it's Ruler number

4) 00 05 00 FF -> conquest code

I've already added a way more detailed explanation (incomplete, but more detailed than that).

Just something small about 00 in the District code, it's not always the Force colour, but rather the position in the force code. The thing is, usually the force's position matches the colour (Cao Cao is the first force in the code (00) and its colour is blue (00), Liu Bei is the second (01) and the colour is green (01)), but there are cases where it doesn't. An example is Han Fu's force, which is on position 0e, but its colour is 2e. You will have to use 0e in the District code for him.
Zhang Yang and Ding Yuan are also switched for some weird reason (Zhang Yang should be dark brown and Ding Yuan should be purple, Rise of Heroes got it correct).

Ok, I'll change "Force color" to "Force Position". "Color" under "5.1. Defining a Force" really means color right? Is it wrong elsewhere?
------EDIT--------
Now it's defined:

Force position
Position of the Force on the piece of code addressed in “5.1. Defining a Force”.

Is it ok?
-------------------

What would be "Officer position"? I thought it was Ruler number (same as Ruler under "5.1. Defining a Force").

"District Number" starts at 01 and stops at 08 or 09? I'm not sure.

Colour should be colour, yes.

Force position is good.

Ruler number is correct, officer position is basically the same though (the number of an officer is his position).

There are 8 districts in the game, right? So it would be 01 to 08.
