Not really. Just added some information about models that raised in the main discussion thread.

The new discoveries would be two bytes: パーシ (Persistence) and 武器左 (Left Weapon). The first was left out of this update because I haven't noticed what it does (haven't tested much either), the second is just a useless broken bow that appears on left hand if byte is set to 06.

Other than that I've replaced the model pictures for better ones and change a bit of the text.

So the guide is still confusing T_T

Ok, I'll try to explain. That's what's currently in the guide:
===
Researched Techniques
They're coded in 4 bytes (5 in PUK), where each byte represents two techs, and are
disposed in the following order (Domestic byte only in PUK version):
Pikes/Spears – Horses/Bows – Invention/Command – Fire/Defense – (-/Domestic)
The level of each tech is coded as follows:
– Level 0 = 0 (not yet researched)
– Level 1 = 1
– Level 2 = 3
– Level 3 = 7
– Level 4 = F (maxed out)
For example, in order to give Pikes level 0, Spears level 1, Horses max, Bows level 3,
Invention level 2, Command level 0, Fire level 3 and Defense max, the code would be 01 f7 30 7f.
Supposing you're on PUK and also want Domestic level 2: 01 f7 30 7f 03.
===

So you have 8 techs (english version), each accepts 4 possible levels (plus the level 0 that would mean not yet searched).
For some odd reason the levels were not coded from 00 to 04, they were coded this way:
– Level 0 = 0 (not yet researched)
– Level 1 = 1
– Level 2 = 3
– Level 3 = 7
– Level 4 = F (maxed out)
So, if you want to max everything out, you'd be expecting something like this: 0F 0F 0F 0F 0F 0F 0F 0F. Eight bytes, each with the value you want, right? But that's not how techniques were coded ><>

They were coded only in 4 bytes, but HOW? which is the trick? should you sum something like happens in some cases, such as alliances? NO, it's much easier: each byte have two digits, right? so each digit will represent a different tech, to max everything you'd have: FF FF FF FF (Pikes/SpearsHorses/Bows – Invention/CommandFire/Defense).

You see, each digit of the same byte represents a different tech. If you're asking yourself: how can it be? Well, probably game will divide your hex by 10, separating the digits (quotient and remainder). Try it! Open your scientific calculator, set it to hex, and divide F3 by 10, result is F, now calculate F3 mod 10, result is 3.

Some examples:
F3 F3 F3 F3 = Pikes lv.4/Spears lv.2 – Horses lv.4/Bows lv.2 – Invention lv.4/Command lv.2 – Fire lv.4/Defense lv.2
13 7F 13 7F = Pikes lv.1/Spears lv.2 – Horses lv.3/Bows lv.4 – Invention lv.1/Command lv.2 – Fire lv.3/Defense lv.4
07 33 07 33 = Pikes lv.0/Spears lv.3 – Horses lv.2/Bows lv.2 – Invention lv.0/Command lv.3 – Fire lv.2/Defense lv.2

Note: PUK uses one extra byte where one digit must be ignored (the one to the left) and the other represents the Domestic tech (the one to the right).

Hope that answers your question.

Lezard,

I can help to explain some of the missing explanation

Spouse

If you are at husband stats, just add the wife officer position in hex value.

Same goes to wife stats, add husband officer position in hex value

Sworn Brothers

I take Liu Bei, Guan Yu & Zhang Fei for explanation

In this game, Liu Bei was chosen as the leader.

Therefore

A) In Liu Bei stats, the hex value for sworn brother is still Liu Bei

B) In Guan Yu & Zhang Fei stats, the hex value will still be Liu Bei

District Code

I choose Dong Zhuo Rise scenario as example

Cao Cao district code

00 01 57 01 00 05 00 FF

Liu Bei district code

01 01 7B 02 05 FF 00 FF

Sun Jian district code

02 01 6D 01 00 05 00 FF

Ma Teng district code

03 01 05 02 01 02 00 FF

Liu Yan district code

04 01 66 02 04 FF 01 FF

Dong Zhuo district code

05 01 ED 01 01 01 00 FF

Niu Fu district code (Dong Zhuo 2nd district )

05 02 85 00 02 06 00 FF

Liu Biao district code

06 01 7C 02 04 FF 01 FF

Yuan Shao district code

07 01 12 00 01 00 00 FF

Yuan Shu district code

08 01 10 00 01 01 00 FF

Zhang Lu district code

09 01 BA 01 04 FF 01 FF

Gongsun Zan district code

0B 01 B4 00 01 00 00 FF

Gongsun Du district code

0C 01 B6 00 04 FF 00 FF

Liu Yu district code

0D 01 6A 02 02 00 01 FF

Han Fu district code

0E 01 78 00 00 05 01 FF

Kong Rong district code

10 01 BE 00 00 05 01 FF

Liu Dai district code

11 01 77 02 00 05 00 FF

Tao Qian district code

12 01 E4 01 00 05 01 FF

Kong Zhou district code

13 01 B8 00 00 05 01 FF

Zhang Yang district code

14 01 B5 01 00 05 00 FF

Let me explain byte by byte

1st byte = District Code number

2nd byte = District Number

3rd & 4th byte = Officer position

5th & 6th byte = Force Target

7th & 8th byte = Force Objective (Ambition)

If you notice the list of district codes above, 1st byte 0A & 0F are not in the list......

So, you can create a new force, example Diao Chan as ruler. See the below new district code

New district code

FF 00 FF FF FF FF FF FF

Change it to

0A 01 A8 01 01 01 00 FF

This will mean:

0A = Diao Chan district code

01 = District 1

A8 01 = Diao Chan officer position

01 01 = Conquer Central Plains

00 FF = Unify China
