Website Downtime

Unread postby James » Mon Sep 14, 2020 5:29 pm

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry about the downtime these RTK websites incurred. The hosting environment changed some technologies on the server side which broke some of the older code holding these websites together, and 2020 being what it was, it took me a little while to find the time to make necessary changes and get the websites back online.

Everything should be running again, now.

Gotta keep the database secure lest the site is gone forever!

No need to apologize for anything. The world is currently shit and you can hardly be blamed for this not being your top priority to get to immedietly. Glad it's back nonetheless.

I was checking the site these days more in forlorn hope than anything, in my head, I thought it was dead and I was wasting my time, but I still felt the impulse to check and did so. Happy it isn't! :)

I haven't been here as long as many others, but I've still enjoyed my time here and was sad to think it was gone.

BTW, are threads in all forums now never auto-deleted after some inactivity? It's nice to see threads from years ago - also helps keep the community alive (esp when its less active than before and some people peak in once every few years)

Thanks for bringing the site back James, as Daolun says no need to apologize with all that is going on and grateful for the site's return.
