Those among you who follow online <i>Sanguozhi</i> translations probably noticed the unexpected disappearance of the Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms, a small but excellent translation site that was maintained by Jack Yuan. Fortunately, his excellent work doesn’t have to vanish with it. After talking briefly with him I’ve uploaded his translations to the site so everyone can continue to learn from and enjoy them (see the list below). If you haven’t read these biographies through older links on this site, you’ll probably be thrilled to see some familiar names in the list. Sam Wrest’s fine new <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgyy/caozhang.php">Cao Zhang (Ziwen)</a> <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/bios/type.php#sgyy"><i>Sanguo Yanyi</i> biography</a> has also been uploaded for your viewing pleasure.

Jack Yuan’s <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/bios/type.php#sgz"><i>Sanguozhi</i> biography translations</a> include: Scroll 1: <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/caocao.php">Cao Cao (Mengde)</a>; Scroll 35: <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/zhugeliang.php">Zhuge Liang (Kongming)</a>, <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/zhugeqiao.php">Zhuge Qiao (Bosong)</a>, <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/zhugezhan.php">Zhuge Zhan (Siyuan)</a>; Scroll 36: <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/guanyu-2.php">Guan Yu (Yunchang)</a> (with Pei Songzhi’s notes, a new addition), <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/zhangfei-2.php">Zhang Fei (Yide)</a>, <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/machao-2.php">Ma Chao (Mengqi)</a>, <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/huangzhong-2.php">Huang Zhong (Hansheng)</a>, <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/zhaoyun-2.php">Zhao Yun (Zilong)</a>; and Scroll 46: <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/sunjian.php">Sun Jian (Wentai)</a>, and <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/sunce.php">Sun Ce (Bofu)</a>. In addition, a new translation of <a href="http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/yuanshao.php">Yuan Shao (Benchu)</a> with Pei Songzhi’s notes has also been added. It is missing a few small parts, like Chen Lin’s long document, but still serves as a grand cache of information. If you haven’t read these biographies through the links that were on this site, you’ll probably be thrilled to see some familiar names in the list.

Great addition to KMA. I have wanted a printable version of Sun Jian's and Sun Ce's bios for a long time. I'm so happy you've added them here.

One problem though, if you are at Sun Ce's Bio, and you click on the Sun Jian link, it reads an error. It's hyperlinked to http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/sunjian2.php instead of http://kongming.net/novel/sgz/sunjian.php.

I fixed those and some other links. For this update I had to find a way to add two biographies of the same type and person to the site, and originally I was going to extend the name with '2', '3', etc. Then I realized some characters were already given a '2' because there were two of the same character with no style to tell them apart. I then made it '-2', '-3', etc., but it seems I forgot to update all of the links.

And thanks for the mention of printing. I’ve updated the print style sheet with a few improvements to handle some of the new ways I’m coding the pages. If you want to print more of the biographies reload the page first to get the new stylesheet.

Yes! This will satiate my hunger for a long while. I read a couple on his original site, but that was really long ago. A great resource has been brought back! This is why KMA is still as awesome to me as when I found it. The resources on this site - whether for history, the novel, the games, fanworks, or people who share a common interest - are tremendous, and just keep growing.

Thanks for the update! ;)
