Has anyone else heard of this game? It's made by Koei, and takes place in the 14th century during the Japanese civil wars. Notice the relationship, DW in Japan is Shin Sangoku Musou, this game is San Goku Musou. Hmmmmm....................

Edit (Stuart): This looks like it will be a popular game, so i'll sticky this thread
Edit (James): Moved ‘Samurai Warriors’ to front of title, as it seems to me more people coming to the forum are looking for that than Sengoku Musou.

I'm pretty sure that Sangoku Musou is the original Dynasty Warriors. This is a beat-'em-up game, and should still be available, but hard to see around 'cause it is a very old game. Correct me if I'm wrong, ok?

Nope. I believe u are right san goku musou is the first
Dynasty Warriors. I was thinking of Shin Sengoku Musou
which is the one that will take place in Japan. I think
the thread starter might have confused the 2 as well.

and DW2 and up is Shin Sangoku Musou I think.

san=three
goku=kingdom/country
sen=war

sangoku musou=three kingdoms without rival (aka DW)
sengoku musou=warring kingdoms/state without rival (aka the new game based on the Japanese warring state period)

Shin- New
Sangoku- Three Kingdoms
