I hope the final dilemma is a chance for Liu Bei to betray himself in the ultimate backstab

Would be a nice mirror image quest battle. :)

How to play as Lu Bu:

Nothing surprising; I'm pretty sure we all guessed how it would work, but I'm surprised you can respond to Lu Bu trying to kill you with a "nope" button to survive.

The event options from that video definitely seem to have a Paradox vibe to them. EU4/CK2 have several event choices where you get to decide if your ruler lives or dies like that. Sometimes you do want your ruler to die, because he has bad stats or you have an awesome heir or you want to get out of a marriage alliance or something like that...

I like the tweets, nice to see good spirit among competitors

Making clear one can play as Lu Bu was wise as was something people wanted

Edit: starting map, wasn't expecting them to suggest Gongsun Zan for easy start

A content embaro has lifted and streamers are releasing videos.

A rather lot of Gongsun Zan love so far. Yuan Shao's getting several as well.

Edit: Mid-game video:

Some factions can't become Emperor until someone else has (referred to as "governor" factions) due to their loyalty to the Han.

If I understood it seems Liu Bei gets an event to Confederate Liu Biao, and when you become Emperor your capital is automatically moved somewhere defensive.

There is a diplomatic options to ask an Emperor to abdicate, or to abdicate your own throne.

I wonder how, if I heard one comment in that video right, the odds being titled towards the three "three kingdom rulers" getting the other two slots will go down with the core TW gamers

Apparently Xun Yu is Zheng Jiang's opening battle so has a good chance of dying very early on.

I find this a very bizarre choice since he's a rather prominent figure being turned into early game fodder.

Not the least because it's Zheng Jiang, CA's OC whose historical analogue may not have been born in 191AD for all we know, who is killing him.

A lot of people have raised hackles over Xun Yu's situation, so it may change before launch, but his treatment is really disappointing right now.
