There's a max combo thread for DT2 already, but I'vea dded my DT1 max combo stats. The masters at this are Mei Zhen, Equinox and Wolfgard.

<EDIT>Bear in mind that these are only my Wei stats from one play through. I lost my first game save file having beaten the game as Wu, Shu (two or three paths each) and Wei (one path only), so this isn't my best ever combo.

Xu Zhu - Boost - 0
Tian Feng - Pincer - 4082
Xiahou Dun - Raid - 12045
Dian Wei - Shift - 3765
Zhang He - Pincer - 47458
Wen Chou - Raid - 33599
Xun Yu - Pincer - 99999*
Yan Liang - Raid - 77734
Gong Zhi - Aid - 78143

Total damage - 363539

* Xun Yu's Pincer was on multiple enemies and therefore hit for more than the 99999 displayed - just a single gold. I think I had three in a row with my Wu team, but I can't tell you about that combo

Can anyone tell me how to get Yuan Shao on your team? On either game, as whenever I beat Yuan with Cao he always get's executed.

Yuan Shao

Unread postby Douglas » Fri Dec 23, 2005 7:40 pm

He's a tough one.

You must do it in a scenario where he he isn't executed. Find the scenario where he isn't a major player, and defeat him. Then you'll be able to recruit him afterwards.

You can't stop automated executions, though. Shu or Wei is your only hope. Cao Cao HAS to fight him. For something like that, those characters, unless it says otherwise, aren't executed. To my knowledge, anyway.

I'm pretty sure you can get Yuan Shao on most epilogues. I'm pretty sure I got him on Lu Bu's epilogue.

It's just that I love having historical armies, like when I absorb Yuan Shao's officers in Cao Cao's story, I make an army say...

Commander: Yan Liang/Zhang He
Strategist: Tian Feng
Strategist: Ju Shou
Officer: Yan Liang/Zhang He
Officer: Wen Chou

If I had Yuan Shao I could make an army with him as it's leader, as still have all of those officer in it. As most of the have bonds with each other, they are a strong force.

Yeah, you're right. That's pretty cool, but I must admit I never thought about keeping affiliated armies together.

I'll be sure to try that next time I play.
