Gimme a bit and I'll try to dig up some pictures.

Certainly sounds interesting Kong Wen, i used to play risk myself

Actually it's Xiang Qi. But if you have three players you could play San Guo Qi ...

(I'm a big fan of large board Shogi variants myself, especially Chu Shogi, but that's Japanese rather than Chinese.)
Then there's the Romance of the Three Kingdoms card game ...

If you're looking for something more strictly board game, how about Romance of the Three Kingdoms ...

Or The Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms ...

Or The Three Kingdoms of Ancient China ...

(But I think this one is only available in a particular issue of Game Journal magazine.)
Edit: Further research into that last entry, Three Kingdoms of Ancient China, shows that it was indeed only available in issue # 6 of Game Journal magazine, which is in Japanese, so there's no english version of it.

Hello,

I was going to make a new post but I think that is better to use this.

I´ve designed two board games about the history of China (thanks Sun Fin, Crazedmongoose, SlickSlicer, and RickShaw for the help) and I am testing them right now, but I´ve noticed that what I really want is a Three Kingdoms Board Game (actually I´ve tried to buy this Three Kingdoms Board Games).

So I am thinking in create one based in the characters more than in the troops with 4 characters for every kingdom (Shu: Liu Bei, Zhang Fei and Zhuge Liang; Wei: Cao Cao, Sima Yan, Xiahu Dun and ? ; Wu: Sun Ce, Taishi Ci, Huang Gai and Zhou Yu).

It would begin when Zhang Fei looses Xiapi against Lu Bu.

And as I want a sensation of the book in the game, I thought in event decks that represents important parts of the book. And that´s the reason of the post, which parts of the book do you think that would be great in a board game? I only thought of this:

Open Gates (Zhuge Liang should be present)
-Tactics Demonstration (Zhuge Liang should be present)
Based in the demostrations of tactics of Zhuuge Liang
-Fire!
Chibi Battle
-The Rage of Zhang Fei
Chapter 46? when Zhang Fei alone in a bridge, stops the Cao Cao´s army
-Zhao Yun, save my family!
Same Chapter
-Fire Ambush
Based in the Fire Ambus than Zhuge Liang prepares to Meng Huo
Ambush
Fire Ambush
Charge
Betray of an enemy official
Give a woman in marriage
Some special objects (Red Hare, Jade Seal, etc...)

Thanks a lot, for read the post

I'm guessing you meant to have Guan Yu as one of the four Shu officers? Also did you mean Sima Yi instead of Sima Yan or did you want the Jin officer in there? I'd probably suggest that if your using Xiahou Dun you should also use Xiahou Yuan.

As for some event idea's, how about stealing arrows (ZGL at Chi Bi) and control over weather.

Thanks again, Sun Fin. It is a nice idea.

Yes, Guan Yu is included, and yes, Xiahou Yuan, is perfect.
Sima Yi... Yes, maybe is better like a character anti-Zhuge Liang.

I am kinda miss the old times since the highschool. A friends of mines playing 3 Kingdoms board games in four players. Those are the self made, and they used in monopoly directions with 100 army card, 50 order card, and 80 lands. I can't even play with them, because they are all written in chinese descriptions. I wish it was english thought... :?

There's supposed to be a better than board games, I suggest "Monopoly Deal Dynasty Warriors Version" would be better if someone design those cards.
